NEVER USE CLIMATE GUARD 11/3/2010

A couple of months ago I used them to go over my roof and nail down the shingles. It took them forever. Then a week ago the shingles started blowing off all over my lawn!!! How embarring. They are located only a few blocks from my home, but I will never use them again. I just signed with someone else to do $12,000.00 worth of work to my home. That could have been Climateguard's money, but since they did such a poor job on my roof, they won't get another dime from me!!! All my neighbors are looking and I guess they won't want to use them either. Now Im waiting on them to come back out and do a ""do-over."" They are bad!!!!! more

Don't write Climate Guard a Check - Deceptive Acts 12/15/2009

I signed a contract with ClimateGuard on 11/11/09 and was provided 3 days to cancel. I placed a down payment with Climate Guard in the amount of $2125.00. I decided I didn't want the service. Per the cancellation contract I had until 11/14/09 to cancel. I cancelled and hand delivered the cancellation contract to Climate Guard at 155 W. 84th St. hoping to pick up my check I wrote. On 11/16/09 my check was cashed. Based on the cancellation contract they would refund my money within 20 CALENDAR Days. In good faith I waited the 20 CALENDAR Days (12/4/09). The money wasn't in my account, this is after being told the money would be placed in my account. I contacted ClimateGuard at 866-552-5462 and spoke with Karen the Operator and was informed the Store's policy is 30 CALENDAR Days. I told her my cancellation contract reads 20 CALENDAR Days to the contrary. She apologized and stated the money would be refunded in 30 CALENDAR Days. What do you know today is the 31st CALENDAR DAY and NO MONEY in my bank account. So I called 866-552-5462 and spoke with Karen again and was informed that the money would not be in my account. She stated I would need to wait until next Tuesday (By the way... this is an additional 7 CALENDAR Days) So now we are up to 38 CALENDAR Days! Oh by the way the cancellation contract reads: ""If you cancel the transaction, the mortgage, lien or other security interest is also cancelled. Within 20 CALENDAR days after we receive your notice, we must take the steps necessary to reflect the fact that the mortgage, lien or other security interest on your home has been cancelled, and we must return to you any MONEY or property you have given to us or to anyone else in connection with this transaction. Then the Notice of Right to Cancel reads: You may use any written statement that is signed and dated by you and states your intention to cancel, or you may USE THIS NOTICE by dating and signing below. Keep one copy of this notice because it contains IMPORTANT information about your RIGHTS. IF YOU CANCEL BY MAIL OR TELEGRAM, YOU MUST SEND THE NOTICE NO LATER THAN MIDNIGHT OF 11/14/09."" So I signed the contract dated and delivered on 11/14/09 and informed the Sales Rep. that I will pick up my check and drop off the NOTICE OF RIGHT TO CANCEL. I hand delivered the notice to 155 W. 84th ST. and was NOT greeted by the Sales Rep. I waited about 30 minutes and was informed the Sales Rep. was BUSY with another customer and was asked to leave my Cancellation Notice. I informed the receptionist I would contact them on Monday 11/16/09 for my check. On Monday 11/16/09 the check was presented to my bank account. Based upon the contract they had 20 CALENDAR Days to return my money. (Did I mention they cashed the check AFTER (11/16/09) I Cancelled (11/14/09)?) So that brings us to Today (31st Day) I was informed that the ONE PERSON that signs the check is OUT OF THE OFFICE and he won't be back in the office until Tuesday, December 22nd and he won't show up until late that day (Oh by the way ... that is Christmas week) and he will sign the check. So I said to Karen that I didn't know that this was a Mom and Pop shop that I have to wait for ONE person to write me a check. Oh I'm still out of my $2125.00. Climate Guard is drawing interest off of my money I while I am getting the run around. I opened a complaint with the Better Business Bureau which they proudly displays and market when sale their products. If you are a Homeowner or looking for them to do something for you DO NOT use ClimateGuard Services because they will not honor the cancellation contract. I have alot of choice words I would like to use in this review but can't. If you read this review, please tell your friends so they can tell their friends that ClimateGuard is BAD BUSINESS and they are over-priced and does not honor contracts unless it benefits them. Waste of time 7/13/2009

Don't get work done from Climate Guard if you want to clean up after the workers. I recently had my kitchen remodeled by Climate Guard and am very unappy with the work they did. First of all the person came out to mesure did not know what he was going and the guy that came to install the cabinets did not know what he was doing. The guy didn't set up the cabinets where they were supposed to go he just started putting them up. The guy cut up the back of the cabinet that went over the stove and then he realized that that was the wrong cabinet he put up. That cabinet was supposed to go ver the fridge, he had to take down the cabinet and put up the correct. one and had to tear up the back of that one too. Now the guy who measured didn't do a good job because I cant even move my refridgerator because the cabinet is literally sitting ontop of the fridge. The best part about this story is that I had to clean up all of the garbage they left behind when in the contract it stated that they would clean up the mess they made. when I called Climate Guard they blamed it on the contractors. I blame them because they are the ones who hire the contractors. So they tell me to call the contractor. I called him and said that he would have the guy come and pick up cabinets and then hegoes and tells me that I could go ahead and throw the boxes away, hello that is not my job that is your job, you are not pay to put the boxes in the garbage. I though that was what I was paying them for. well get this it has been over a month and no one has come to pick up the cabinets. I called Climate Guard again and they said that someone would be contacting me and still no one has called me. They can't return my call but at the end of the day when the guy was not even finished with the work in my kitchen they called about 10 times to ask me when I was going to make the final payment. I told them would pay off the balance once the guy was finished t whehe still wan't finished the guy I talked to said that the office closes at 5 o'clock. I kept telling him that I would pay once the guy finished. at exactly 5 o'clock the guy called and said that he would like me to pay him even though the guy did not finish. It is so funny that they can call me 10 times in one day and when I call them about work that they havent finished they cant return a call. So, I advise people wh Cons: leaves work undone more
