I started going to KAS when I moved to Buford because I had seen them in all the hair magazines. Lauren did my cut and color and it came out AMAZING. I never have bad hair days anymore, which is odd for me. My hair is short, thin and unmanageable and Lauren did a great job at disguising that. The only complaint I have about KAS is that they are very expensive, more than I was paying in New York. So unfortunately, I do not know how much longer I will be able to afford to go here. :( more

walked in for a hair cut and was told they were booked for the whole day. Only had one client and there were 3 stylist. All chairs were empty for the next 3 hours and stylist were just hanging out. Never again more

I have read some of the comment's posted about ""Kathy Adams Salon"". I must say that first I realize we all have different opinion's on what a great salon should be but, I would like to give my feedback on my experience from my visit's to KAS. I have been a client for a couple of years now and have been to many salons in the Atlanta area. I Love my hair! Since becoming a client at KAS. I have never had anyone be rude to me at KAS and all the staff is very friendly and welcomes everyone. Kathy and Adam being the owners of the salon do a great job by working as both stylist and business owners. I have had several stylist do my hair and all seem to care about the client and making sure they listen and give me what I ask for. My stylist right now is Josh. He has not been at this salon long but, I feel so comfortable with him as a stylist. He is very kind and listens to me and also makes suggestions for my color that I would not have thought of and I love that he knows what will look good on me. I will continue to see Josh as my stylist. He is very creative and proffesional and yes he is a cutie!! He talks to me about my hair but, also has coversation to make me feel at ease. I think he will go very far in his career as a hair stylist.The salon is small but, it is fine just as long as my hair looks great I. Thank You Josh for making me look forward to getting my hair done the right way! Also thank's to all the staff that is so warm and friendly. I love my hair and have never been able to say this so keep up the great work all of you. I reccomend this salon to everyone and have reffered others to Josh. I was scheduled for a cut and color which was nothing huge; just a touch-up on my red color (I'm naturally a brunette) and some added layers and thinning (my hair has a lot of body and volume, which I have to thin out to prevent poofiness). The stylist was alright, but there were many times i felt like she was making too much ""small talk"". The color was fine, but I was rather surprised with the hair cut since I noticed she wasn't taking out much weight. I asked her why she wasn't using the thinning shears and she told me ""I don't use thinning shears, I'm just adding layers to get rid of the weight"". In the end, my hair style didn't look any different than what i came in the salon with. I will give them props for the color job; but $65 for the color and $48 for the cut (and that included the 20% mall employee discount) seems a lot for a ""touch-up"" job. I guess I'll have to keep looking... Pros: Location, mall employee discount. Cons: Costs too much for what you get. more
