What a great place! 12/31/2005

Wow, this place has it all. It is so big that you really need two days to go through it all. They have so many exhibits, my favorite is the science area. They explore everything from addictions and personality traits to how the human body works. It is great for adults and kids alike. more

Amazing fun museum, IF you have the money to spend 12/29/2005

The Arizona Sciene Center is really an Amazing FUN place to spend the day. However if you have the money to spend. The total amount you will spend the whole day you are there (and seeing the whole museum will take all day) will add up and make this a pricey day out. Almost everything you do in the center is free...almost. Once in the musuem you simply can not miss the planetarium presentation, oh yeah and that's an extra admission cost, but it's a presentation that you need to at least experience once, the kids will not only love it but wil llearn alot! There is a small eatery with a taco bell/pizza hut where you can order lunch, but becareful as prices are kinda steep for a burrito in the center compared to a burrito outside the center. There are hundreds of hand on exhibits for the kis to touch, run around, feel, and smell. they will have a blast so be prepared to stay all day! Not only will your kids learn but you will also, lesson learned? Bring more money. more

Really fun 11/24/2005

Really fun place to take the kids, special exhibits for children all for themselves, but also lots of things that interest adults as well. I love going there. Its also close to the Ball Park and the downtown office buildings so it is great to go after a game for a drink or after work to eat or see a movie. Its in a great location. more

Great fun for kids of all ages! 11/11/2005

No matter what the age of your children, there is something for everyone to see and do at the Arizona Science Center. They have great displays and hands-on activities that allow each child to explore and get involved with the task. Each different section turns into a teachable moment for parents and caregivers and allows the children to learn hands-on about why things may work the way they do. It is great for adults too, they are sure not going to be bored! more

Fun for all ages!!! 9/29/2005

My husband and I went to the Ariozona Science Center, expecting the entire place to be children-oriented. Boy-were we wrong! We had a blast! We were able to touch and try so many things, and really left the place feeling that we learned something. I would definately recommend seeing the Imax show that they are featuring. It's an amazing experience! more

Fun for all ages 9/21/2005

My husband and I went here on one of the Adult Nights that they offer on the first Friday nights of the month. We had a great time playing and acting like kids again! It's educational and fun at the same time so it's a great experience. I highly recommend it! more

Fun and educational place to spend an evening 9/2/2005

The science center is well organized and has many great exhibits. We used to have a membership because they had "Adult Night" one night a month. They bring in special speakers that give a talk and answer questions. All of the talks that I have seen there have been excellent. Also, after the talk, the science center is available for you to walk around and tour. It's typically not very crowded either. more

Take the kids! 8/15/2005

The Science Center is a great place to take your kids because you’ll be amused, too! They have a great planetarium and some very interesting exhibits. They have a nice cafeteria and if you can find a coupon, the prices aren’t that bad. This is a great learning tool for kids and adults alike. more

hands on fun 8/5/2005

What a great musuem that the kids can go to that they can be hands on and touch the exhibits. My kids love being able to touch the three hundred different exhibits. What fun to not have to tell the kids not to touch. Right now they have a sesame street exhibit that is spectacular. Who doesn't love Elmo? Parking is easy with a convient parking garage nearby. Price is pretty reasonable since you spend most of the day there. The price does add up when you add the special exhibits. more

Great Place to get out of the heat 7/29/2005

The Arizona Science Center is in downtown phoenix. It is a museum/activity center for kids. They have a lot of interesting exhibits, however, I thought the science center was showing it's age. Quite a few of the hands-on exhibits were not working when I visited with my kids. Also all the ants were dead in the ant farm, try explaining that to your children. At the time I was there - it was the special exhibit: Dragon Bones. That is definitely worth going to. The new exhibit is Sesame Street helping children learn about their bodies. I would consider going for the special exhibits, however, I wouldn't really recommend it for an out of towner. It's just good for an afternoon out of the heat. They did have a toddler playground that my children loved. more

Arizona Science Center 7/27/2005

The Arizona Science Center is a science museum for primarily kids. Located in downtown Phoenix. It has a planetarium and usually has a current ongoing exhibition that tours. Sesame Street is a frequent visitor. The center also caters to birthday parties and school visits. Classes are always available on a wide variety of subjects. If you are bored, this is the place to go. It's entertaining as well as educational. Every Phoenix kid should spend time at this center at least once a year. Could appear a little pricey for a family of four, especially if you visited several of the special exhibits or attended a class. There are more than one admissions charges depending upon what you do and see. more

Wonderful selection of hands-on fun. 7/14/2005

This is an awesome place for some real hands-on fun, stuff you won't find at many museums. In every exhibit, there's always something fun to do, although sometimes a line forms that can get irritating. I do find, however, that it becomes the cliché form of entertainment, and that I have been there so many times that it really gets boring now. So just remember, don't go too often or you will lose all the fun of it. more

OK place for older kids. 7/7/2005

We took my very little sister here and she didn't have much fun and neither did we. When you have kids that are 8-12 I think they would have fun here but otherwise it's not that great. The displays and projects need updating for sure. Prices were ok but gift shop prices are very high. Parking is pretty decent and there's a lot to do and see around the science center, too. more
