Mean staff and if you choose to go don't park there! 12/28/2010

We came there for dinner and our car was towed $430.00! No apology, just a lot of yelling from the manager, I am guessing this happens a lot! more

Great place for a company party 12/18/2009

We held our company Christmas party at the Chopstix in Everett WA. We had a great time and enjoyed the dueling piano action. Every one of our employees were very happy with the service from there employee. Especially from our waitress Sam she was the best server/host you could get at Chopstix. Thank you Sam from the employees of Rainier Custom Plumbing!!!!!!!! Pros: Great service, great food, fun atmosphere Cons: no complaint more

This place is a blast 5/2/2009

Yes it's a bit loud, yes it's a bit pricey. What do you expect from a piano BAR? The guys playing piano are great. I have been here 4 times. The most fun I have had out on a group gathering. Yes they charge an automatic tip for large parties, but what place doesn't these days. Food is great, wait staff are great. Fun times for adults. Pros: Good entertainment Cons: A little pricey more

Amusing Music, but a bit pricey 4/12/2009

The menu had a variety of food and drink options but was a bit on the expensive side, especially with the portion size. There is a $15 cover that you can get waived as long as you order a $15 or more entree item. We found out that drinks and appetizers dont count even when over $15. The musicians did a good job at making the show entertaining, pushing drinks, and embarrassing the patrons who were their for birthdays, anniversaries and whatnot. The reason for a 2 star (other than the prices)... Our group of 17 was cut off from drinks because somebody from another group was too drunk and obnoxious. We talked to the manager and explained none of us have ever met the erratic drunk lady who was part of another gathering, which is the truth, however the manager didnt believe us. Not the biggest deal in the world since were not big drinkers so, we closed out our tabs, sang and danced for a while longer and went on our way. After I got in the car I was informed that there is an automatic 18% tip for large parties. Typically no problem except I forgot this and left an additional tip of 20%+. Too bad it was a $175 bill! The waitress never even said anything the whole time we were there after I paid. I tried to call and retract the extra tip and, no luck. Lets put it this way I wont be going back there. Pros: variety of music genres, audience interactive performance Cons: expencive food and drinks, $15 cover, loud more

If you drink its great, otherwise stay clear! 1/10/2009

I had gone for the first time last night with a few co-workers. It was fun we all had a good time singing along (if we could understand what he was saying that is) to the songs and the drinks tasted great. Price was too much for what you get (I like a strong drink) and it was hard to even talk amongst ourselves. The guys on stage are a bit crude but still funny. \r \r Bottom line, have a few drinks before you go and then im sure you will have a great time! Otherwise be prepared to spend a good chunk of change. Pros: Great karaoke, good food Cons: Too pricy, too crowded more

What a surprisingly great place!!! 8/3/2008

Well fortunately I went here before I read the reviews, because our experience was fantastic! We went on a Sunday night where families are welcome until 9pm. There were several other groups there as well, and I have to admit that when we got there at first it did seem pretty loud. Then the piano players took a quick break, and when they got back for some reason it didn't seem that loud at all. Our 2 youngest children were invited up to dance with by the piano's, and then were lifted up onto the pianos to sing along. Our waitress Chelsea was so attentive, and even gave us extra scraps for our dog. She was very nice, and even filled my sons rootbeer 3 times. The fish and chips, prime rib, and Kobe beef burger were all fantastic, and for desert you have to try the chocolate bow tie cake which was amazing. We will definately be going back. Pros: Great fun, great music, great food, great service Cons: I really can't come up with any more

Okay food, but an overpriced earshatteringly loud experience 6/16/2008

My boyfriend and I had a gift certificate to this restaurant for several months that we've been trying to use. The first two times we went it was in the middle of the week and was closed. The third time they were closed for a private party. This was our fourth attempt and we finally made it inside. Make sure to give them a call to see if their open first before you go. \r \r We got there when the piano players were in full swing after 8 p.m. The microphones were turned up so loud that the music and their singing was actually distorted and you couldn't even hear the words. \r \r I ordered a veggie pasta dish, but it came with shrimp on it (I'm a vegetarian). My boyfriend ordered a steak, which he said was okay. He also said my shrimp was tastier too. Drinks were overpriced and we just had beers. We couldn't speak a word to each other throughout the entire meal, and left as soon as our check was paid.\r \r Bottom line? The gimmick here seems to be to jack up the bill to support themselves, which is obvious by the shot tubes the waitresses tried to sell you, and the constant plea for cash from the piano players and the high cost of food. I've been to other piano bars before, but never as loud or overpriced as this. I won't go back again, which is a shame because those piano players were so good! Pros: Awesome piano players Cons: Too loud to enjoy--I actually went home with a headache! more

It is what it is...a fun night out. 5/25/2008

I read some bad reviews for this place, so I went with low expectations. But I have to say that from my experience, the reviews were not quite fair. It's a sing-along bar that is a lot of fun if you just take it for what it is. I doubt you'd go to a place like this for the greatest meal or the best drinks. But it is a fun place to go with a group and act silly and sing along to some talented pianist. The waitresses have a small space in which to work, and it's so loud in there that I can imagine they would get orders incorrect. It's not a place I'd go to on a regular basis, but it's a fun place to go with friends if you are looking for something differen to do and want to let down your hair. Pros: Atmosphere Cons: Low qulity drinks more

Great food, that's about it 4/14/2008

This is the first review I've ever written, and I am definately not an expert or professional critic, but I am an expert on customer service and entertainment. My friends and I recently had a birthday party at this establishment. We thought it was a classy place, but it turns out it very well wasn't. The wait staff was very sloppy and trashy in appearance, and it took them several attempt to get our orders correct. We practically had to beg for our drinks, and when she finally brought them it was either the wrong thing or one too many. When you order appetizers you generally expect them to served before your main course, but imagine my chagrin when after waiting quite a while with my stomach growling, they finally brought the appetizer I had ordered half an hour later with my dinner. When the piano players finally started thier show it was exciting and pretty entertaining, that is until they started taking generally nice songs and re-vamping them into something very perverted and vulgar. I consider myself to be a very open minded and liberal person, but I was very offended by thier lack of respect and thier total vulgarness. The thing that upset me the most from this experiance is the eighteen percent gratuity they automatically add to your bill. I almost felt violated. I believe that people should work hard and do a good job, especially in the service industry, if they want something extra. I am in the customer service industry and I work hard for my money like most people, and I just can't stand being forced to give someone something they did not earn. No one in our party was very happy, not even the poor birthday girl. Overall I would say that this was an experiance we won't soon forget or partake in ever again (at least at this establishment). All I can say is the food and drinks (when we finally got them) were excellent; which they very well should be for the prices they charge. I definately would not recommend this place to anyone, not even aquaintences. Pros: great food and drinks Cons: poor service, poor entertainment, over priced more
