rarely do i enjoy food epiphanies. twice, here though, i've been elevated by the starters here to that higher realm of culinary love and joy. once, it was the miang pla tu, with tuna transformed into a blooming flower of lemongrass and kaffir lime. another time, it was a special (miang kum?) of wild betel leaves, with little bites of lime, peanut, coconut, etc. with a mysterious black dipping jelly that caused great bliss. entrees have so far been decent, the lighting is terrible, confounded by screaming orange walls.
Pros: bliss, joy, happiness
Cons: bright, orange, walls
