The Cat & Fiddle has the best patio. It's a great spot to relax after a long day. The happy hour from 4pm-7pm features $3 beers and well drinks. Much is made of all their British Pub food fare, but if you're looking for something a little healthier, try the Louisiana Crab Fingers in the butter garlic sauce. It doesn't look like much, but since it comes with toast for dipping too (make sure you ask for lots of the juice), this is a filling snack for a couple people to share. There's two real dart boards as well (leave your ID with the bartender and she'll hand you the darts). The free jazz every Sunday can be really nice. Just call ahead and make sure they're playing the courtyard. It's not nearly as fun when you've got to sit in the back room to see it. Pros: good happy hour, beautiful patio, live jazz sundays Cons: parking very ltd, most food only ok more

Cat & Fiddle has one of the better patios to hang out in Hollywood. Good drinks and traditional English pub food - it's a great place to plan a group night out. more

Head Bangers 'n' Mash 5/19/2002

A great place for evening drinks or lunch on the shady patio. At one time, the place was truly a dino-rocker hang, but that's changed in recent years. The crowd is younger and less anachronistic these days. For lunch, I definitely recommend the bangers & mash. Pros: Patio, Mellow atmosphere more

Laid back HH, but the service. . . 5/19/2002

Generally it's right around happy hour when the staff makes their switch and then it's really difficult to get a waitperson and they tend to take their time. Outside of that, it's really a great place to unwind and have a few beers. Pros: lovely patio Cons: slow waitstaff more

For Sunset, you can't find a more laid back place. Patio outside allows you to chill with friends, and staff has always been friendly. Either start or end here if heading to the strip. more
