Terrible!!! I'm a woman and have had several systems and video entertainment in my cars. Years ago I started going to car concepts and worked with the manager at the time Wayne. He was awesome. Now Ryan the owner runs it and what an errogant ass. He walked me around for 5 minutes and told me what I was getting and the ticket was $4000. Wihich was fine I have money. I asked him a question about where something would be installed at. I have kids and always have stuff in the vehicle. He said wherever it ends up and walks away. I went to the install dept. to ask the same question. The installers were foul and reeeeked of pot. I'll be damned if they were to touch my new Tahoe or get any of my money. Good thing I hadn't paid yet. Cuz I know I never would've got a refund. I seen my keys I took them and left forever. I ended up having it done at an awesome shop while we were in Vegas. And ended up spending $6k because they accommodated everything I asked for. more

FANTASTIC customer service and product for great price. I needed a new stereo and CD player for my Ford Lariat truck. My wife and I went to Car Concepts in Salt Lake City, on Main Street. All the employees were personable and very helpful. Alex went through the stereos with us, and we got a great stereo at a very, very reasonable price. Alex went way above and beyond the call of duty. Install went perfectly; in and out in just a few moments. We couldn't be happier. Playing all of our favorite tunes now. We will be back with all of our other car stereo needs. Thank you, Alex, for being one of the best customer service persons we have ever encountered! more

best car electronics shop 4/27/2011

i started my journey to fix my ceiling mount tv in my 2006 escalade (barely out of warranty :{) in draper. i stopped at this small home that had been converted into a shop first. the young man talked down to me like i didnt understand what he was trying to tell me. he made me feel that he truly believes that because i am woman i can not understand electronics. which i do my husband sold home components when we first were married. needless to say i left. i then looked on the internet and found Car Concepts and decided that there was no way i was driving all the way down to salt lake to be insulted again. the guy on the phone answered politely but seemed to be in a hurry. as soon as i started asking questions he slowed down and was great. he even told me about repair facilities instead of just trying to sell me a new one. he talked with me for over 15 minutes which made me happy to make the trip to his store. i went down and picked out a new 10"" tv and had it put in. car concepts even has a in house car detail store so i fell for a detail as well. i got my car back and it looks like a 2012 it is so clean and the tv looks great. i almost do not want to let my family back in it thank you car concepts for the detail and the peace of mind i hope you boys enjoyed the doughnuts customer forever more

Great Work On My Boat Car Concepts...Thank You! 4/4/2011

I attended the 2011 boat show at South Towne Expo center where I had and excellent conversation with not only the salesmen but the reps from Wetsounds and Alpine on some in-boat and tower speakers. Very nice and engagning. Took the time to answer all my questions plus gave me some good advice on using open-air or boxed subwoofer in a marine condition. I checked out serveral other car audio shops as well as marine shops in the valley...not only did they not have the best line of product, the really did give me a postive impression....I was actually referred to Car Concepts. more

Not bad, but not great 3/30/2010

I've gone here a couple times for stereo related purchases and the installations have all been clean and correctly done the first time. Pros: Installs are done correctly Cons: Installs take very long time and pricing is outrageous more

I lOVE Car Concepts!!! 12/15/2009

A year ago, I went to Car Concepts to get a remote installed into my car so I could warm it and defrost it before having to get in and freeze my tail off. It has been wonderful on these cold winter days to climb into a toasty warm car!!! It also cools in the summer when I start the car and turn on the air conditioning. Shawn, the salesman who sold it to me, took the time to educate me on what would best fit my needs, and he gave me a great price. Installation was quick and I was warm all winter. Being so pleased with my first experience, I went back to inquire about getting a bluetooth and a new radio installed in my car so I could talk on my phone and drive hands-free and be safe and legal. Once again, I found the same great service. And most recently, I've gone back to Car Concepts a third time - for window tinting to keep my car cool in the summer (and, I learned, warmer in the winter). The reduction in glare is amazing! I would never go anywhere else for anything my car needs that Car Concepts can provide!! Pros: Customer Service, Education, Price, Great Product more

i can not believe we are done 12/14/2009

my husbands 2010 sierra was taken to another shop (by car dealer) to get an alpine audio visual navigation dash mount put in. this shop has had our truck for a total two weeks and it was still messed up. we looked into a shop ourselves and found car concepts. after one day they called and said it was done. we have had it for a week now and it is perfect. the staff was friendly and helpful. the technician even offered his cell number if we had issues (we have had none). kudos to you Zach and to car concepts! Pros: friendl and knowledgeable Cons: a little far downtown more

Unbelievably horrible 12/4/2009

Will NEVER go back to this place- 1 year and $4k later all i ended up with from this place is a blown Alpine amp bc the stereo had been connected wrong, making a loud popping sound every time it turned on which ended up blowing the amp, a destroyed 7 series BMW from all the holes they drilled in it every time they'd try (and fail) to install something, and they ended up making ME pay for everything when i finally asked them to just rip their shit out because the system was drawing on my battery, leaving me with no heating/air conditioning, and it was never set up right in the 15 TIMES i took it in (not an over exaggeration either) leaving me with crappy, tinny sound on the few times it even worked at all. The worst part was just the total lack of caring- never once would anyone call me back, worry about what a shit job they did, and would make it blatant that they just wanted me to go away and take their f uck up elsewhere. I used to love this place, but since the son took over for the father as owner, things have gone to complete hell. Never will i EVER take any of my vehicles to this place, and have cautioned others as well- this place could care less about doing a good job, they just want their untrained monkeys to slap some stuff in there, crank up your bass till you cant hear your music, accidentally break off knobs/cables because they are half retarded, and then avoid you when you come back in trying to get you to fix their mistakes (oh and they will need your car for at least a week, regardless of how many times they tell you it'll be 'done by today or tomorrow morning at the latest'. I can't imagine how this place still stays in business, save that there is really nowhere else downtown to compete with them. So take your car/boat/etc there at your own risk (coworker took his boat there for a stereo install- made it on the water for 10 min before the stereo blew because they had hooked it up to the battery wrong, and caused $1k in damage which they of course didn't pay, and a lawsuit is now immanent over the ordeal). Trust me, find somewhere else and save your money, time, and a ton of pain and frustration. Pros: not a thing Cons: awful customer service, destroyed my car, completely inept more

Never Again! 6/23/2009

I was recently at car concepts having a car worked on and I witnessed the manager, Scott, treating one of his employees poorly. Plus, the sales person, Matt, lied to me numerous times and never returned my calls and it took way longer than it was supposed to because he didn't do what he said he was supposed to do then he blamed someone else. I will never go back to this shop Pros: One good installer. Cons: Poor customer service. more

Great customer service 5/17/2009

In the end, I got a quality product that was carefully installed. I had a poor first experience with a sales person who was confused and misrepresented what I was buying. Also I felt the initial installation was a little sloppy. When I emailed my grievances to one of the managers, I received an apology and the situation was resolved to my satisfaction. I think their pricing could be more competitive with online and large electronics retailers, but they did stand behind their work and reputation to fix my problem. Pros: friendly, good customer service and issue resolution Cons: need better customer communication more

Great Product Knowledge... horrible salesman. 5/1/2008

Being in professional sales for a few years (8 years), I feel I know some about successful sales. I walked in being a very novice about Nav/DVD systems. The sale guy obviously very knowledgeable about their products and the in's and out's, but zero consideration on the customer and their level of understanding. I wanted to push pause on the guy to digest all of the product knowledge he dumped in my lap and rambled off pricing. He spoke about 100 mile's a second and way over my head and I'm sure anyone else who isn't in the industry. Didn't give any options assume which system I needed and didn't really explain why. Didn't take the time to really see what features I really needed and didn't need. It was like, its this or nothing, I'd never sell you anything less, although I'm looking at a wall full of other products and options. No Thank you I'll go else where, were they take the time to talk to me (hello! the customer) explain options and feature and system difference.. Having good product knowledge is great.. matching it to the customers level and speech is a true salesmanship. People don't buy from motormouth product dumping! Pros: Product knowledge Cons: relating to customer, taking time to understand needs, not showing bias of products more

very honest, best shop i have been to. 9/12/2007

my radio quit working. i went to a big place and they told me i needed a new radio. i reluctantly drove for two weeks without music until i had enough for that new radio. i decided to call car concepts. the sales person told me let us check it first. turns out there are fuses under my hood too and one was blown. my radio works fine! i ended up buying a new radio because the guy a car concepts should me how my ipod worked with one of their new radios while i waited. so i bought it. best purchase ever, i will never carry a cd again. thanks again car concepts. Pros: great price and service. sales people very knowledgable. Cons: closed sundays more
