The Capri Italian Restaurant is a delightful surprise in North Raleigh. Tucked away in the corner of a shopping center off of Falls of Neuse and Spring Forest Roads, is a gem of a find, starring the two owners, Pino and Dino, who are also your host and servers (and I might add, they are very entertaining as well, with their lively chatter and singing). I felt like I was in Italy. We were greeted warmly by Dino, he showed us to our table, brought us wine and water and went over the chef's specials. He said he would make sure I had everything I wanted...of course I asked for a foot rub...and he said he would be happy to accommodate. What a trip. It's all homemade Italian cuisine, reasonably priced and affordable, featuring Italian bread (made daily), pastas, veal, chicken, chops and the best Tiramisu I have experienced since eating at Delmonico's in Washington, DC. Capri Restaurant has a non-smoking environment, family dining, as well as romantic venue. Beer and wine is available, with an extensive wine list of fine wines. Capri Restaurant has a wine tasting 5-course dinner every third Wednesday of the month for $40 per person. I highly recommend the Capri Itaian Restaurant for authentic melt-in-your-mouth Itailan cuisine, an evening of good friends and laughter. Ask Pino about his special seasoning mix that can be purchased at the restaurant and watch out for the little dish of red hot peppers. GO see Dino and Pino!
Pros: Great food, dessert, excellent customer service, ample lit parking, neighborhood friendly
