My wife and I had dinner on New years eve, and it was wonderful. Our hosts Pino & Dino could not have more accomodating. We had the Eggplant appetizer and main course Lobster/shrimp ravoli, it was delicious beyond belief! We now have dinned four times at Capri, months apart. Each time it has been great and busier as well. Pino really knows his wine and Dino is the uncle we all wish we had. We will be back again. Pros: friendly, warm, tasty more

The recently updated decor gives a warm quaint ambience. As for the food, we have NEVER been disappointed! Try the squid ink fettucine or the Gnocci's made the ""authentic"" Italian way - with butter, sage and parmesan! We've also been pleasantly accomodated with special requests! It seems to be their pleasure - never a hassel! We enjoy going before the 7:00 crowd so we can talk with the owners/chef and staff. Their italian accent lends to the ambience as well! This is a very comfortable atmosphere! Our children love it as well! Pros: authentic Italian, customer service A++, fabulous staff! Cons: , none! more

The food is solid -- not exceptional, but doesn't need to be; it's consistent and good. Besides, the food is only half the story.... After our third visit, the waiters always knew our order. ""Half a carafe of house red? Antipasto? Veal Piccatta? Si si...."" One time, a nervous high school kid and his date sat at a table next to ours. Midway through the meal she went to the ladies room, and Dino, the head waiter, came over and clapped the young man on the shoulder. ""You're doing good,"" he said. ""She's quite a young lady."" The kid broke out into the biggest grin, and so did we.... We dine regularly at the finer restaurants in the Triangle, but when I finally proposed to my girl, we went to Capri to celebrate.... Methinks the previous poster must have wandered into the wrong restaurant! No way do I believe that he/she went to Capri and had bad food and service! He/she claims the previous reviews were all written by the owners/associates. Well, I think THEIR review was written by a compeitor to Capri who is worried that their food is lacking in comparison! My family LOVES Capri and we are NOT affliated with the restaurant in any manner except as loyal customers. Pros: Great Food, Great Service, Atmosphere Cons: no windows, but who cares, with this food! more

Don't let the strip mall entrance fool you. As soon as you get in the door, you are greeted my a waiter wearing a starched white apron who speaks with a thick italian accent and often kisses the ladies hands as he shows them to their seats! There is soft lighting, soft music, starched white linens on the table, and candles. If this weren't enough, everything, and I do mean everything on the menu is divine! The perfect date night, yet some place you can take the family dressed down. My favorite restaurant in Raleigh hands down! more
