Capital City, raising the standard for the service industry 6/13/2007

have used Sears,A&E,Applianceman, and now Capital City. Capital City now raises the bar, setting new standards for service. The exceptional customer service starts from the time the call was set up to the time the techintion left the house. The technition was knowlageable, courtious, and serviced me the way no other company has ever come close. From past experience of the first two companies listed, I was pleasently supprised at the fair price quote offered to me. Although the tech completely looked over my pair (washer and dryer) the technition fixed what was needed and ONLY what was needed. He didnt try to sell me hundreds of dollars of ""matienance agreements"" like the first two mentioned companies did. (apparently they get a percentage of those proceeds and it directly affects their performance evaluations as told to me by the last sears/A&E tech) I will HIGHLY recommend CAPITAL CITY to my family and friends. Avoid at all costs! 4/6/2007

I have been working with these jokers to get my Maytag dishwasher recall done. 1st visit from tech resulted in him telling me that Maytag failed to ship me all of the parts necessary, which he said was a common problem, yet he didn't have any spares with him. Despite our misgivings and questioning, he took the replacement door that we had with him and placed the order for the new part. \r The new part arrived and we scheduled his second visit. He arrives and asks where the other parts are and we explained to him that he took them with him and that he said he'd bring them back. In scheduling the appointment, we had already mentioned this and were assured that he would have everything with him to complete the repair.\r We then had to reschedule a third visit, which of course was going to be too late for us to meet. Avoid!!! ... incompetent and/or dishonest 9/1/2006

Don't use these guys! Had minor problem with refrigerator light and icemaker not working. Techs 1st visit - resulted in him telling me that there was no way for him to really diagnose icemaker problem (?) till I bought brand new filter - which would possibly solve problem. I did this - spent $45 - still no ice.\r \r And during this first visit he misdiagnosed light issue by claiming door switch needed replacement - a conclusion which I thought was suspect since the BOTTOM light went off and on fine when the door was closed, open. \r \r 2nd trip - Tech returns, replaces solenoid valve on bottom of fridge. But claims it "will still take 24 hours to tell if icemaker is working." Tech replaces doors switch, but still no light; acknowledges misdiagnosis offers break on fee which never is credited. "Must be broken wire inside door. Nothing I can do"\r \r 24 hours, total of over $200 spent - still no ice, no light.\r \r 3rd visit. They came to me from a home warranty system I have and I couldnt have been happier. thye quickly found the problem and got it fixed pronto without charging me an arm and a leg. Highly recomend. more
