Dog friendly caring and hard working 8/30/2007

I stumbled upon Canine Casa while venturing the Fauntleroy neighborhood. A little house setting no fluff besides the hair of the dog groomed prior If you are are looking for a spa like fancy this is not the place. Dogs..dogs and dogs.. are definately the atmosphere here. Cherrie is the owner and very nice along with her other groomers. Yo can tell they work hard and probably hardly ever get a break. Mass respect for their back breaking trade. My terriers getting their nails trimmed alone gave them a work out in 5 minutes that a normal person would do 30 min. at the gym.I was impressed they hung in there and tackled every nail. One dog down one to go..they listen to how you want your dogs groomed as well..which is nice. I have ben to places that just cut my dogs hair the way they want and uneven to boot. I higly reccomend this groomer. Not a rea lconvenient location outside of West Seattle ,but for us West Seattleites we have a good groomer to go too. Great little shop with very caring groomers... 6/12/2007

I took my puppy there for his first grooming and he came home just adorable. The whole family was just amazed to actually see his eyes! He's been returning every month for his upkeep. Everyone one there was not only friendly, but they totally love dogs. For such a small shop, they are very busy most of the time. The shop is older, but well maintained for the amount of wear and tear it gets every day. And yes, there is dog hair around, but with up to 30 dogs getting done in a day, it's not a surprise. And the shop is always cleaned very thoroughly every night. Everything is disinfected. And the owner is careful about making sure that dogs coming in are up to date on their shots as well. Pros: Great people who really care for the dogs. more

Great place to bring my dog. 6/8/2007

Friendly people, who are caring with Animals, do good job grooming and bathing my dog. Clean shop in the AM when I get there tends to be somewhat messy in the PM but if I?m real late to pick up it?s clean again. They are so good they get a lot of pet grooming in a day and they will take walk-ins if at all possible. Pros: Nice People more

Dog Grooming with love and compassion 6/7/2007

I find the staff to be very caring for the dogs and cats that are entrusted to them for their grooming needs. The staff goes over and beyond what is expected of the customers expectation, and i find them to be fair in the cost of grooming. Pros: Always willing to help in anyway they can. more

Unorganized, and NOT very clean. 5/14/2007

I Have went there a few times and they lost my dogs collar not once but twice! They dont seem very well put together and the place always seems very chaotic. I think they should try to keep a stable staff and remodle and try to make it look like a business they might have better reviews. more

Very disappointed!!!!!! 5/14/2007

I went to this shop and my dog was there all day long, and the owner who cut my dogs hair did a HORRIBLE job. I would NEVER EVER come here again. I dont say this much but i would have rather gone to petsmart or petco than Canine Casa it just isnt the same anymore. I must say it is very disappointing! more

I went to Canine Casa on 9-12-06 referred by a friend of mine...I'm usally kind of iffy on the places I goto get my to dogs groomed but for some reason I went to Canine Casa I Did not feel like that...The staff greeted me. I brought my two dogs in...I told what i wanted done to my dogs & All i got to say is when I came back to pick up my dogs...I practically couldn't believe my eyes!!! My dogs looked so wonderful...It practically made my heart skip a beat!!! This is one of my best experiances at a grooming salon...I just wanted to thank the friendly staff and new owner thank you on city search because it is well deserved!!! Pros: Friendly Staff, Reasonable grooming prices, Pet groomed in a timely manner more

I drive all the way from Bellevue to take my dog to Canine Casa. The owner and her staff are always curtious and I know my dog is treated good. Jake (my dog) always comes out looking handsome and I would not go anywhere else!! Pros: Knowledgable Staff, Good Price, Happy Dog!! more

LOVE IT 12/7/2005

They are great! Somehow they managed to give my puppy a great haircut his first time into a groomers. They warned me before hand that it might not be a very good haircut, but it was perfect. Can get in within 2-3 days, average pricing, pleasant staff. Pros: Quick turn around, friendly staff, knowledgable staff Cons: don't open till 9am, Fur on the ground more

The Good: The owner is knowledgeable and enthusiatic. You can get your pet in there in just a few days. Very standard to pricing ($45). The Bad: A 2-3 hour grooming job can take 5 hours and you may not be notified. Try to call them to check the status of your pet, and you may not get an answer. A baby in playpen behind the desk, four dogs running around through all of the fur on the floor and dusty atmosphere so thick with hair clippings that my eyes and my dog's eyes were red and irritated when we left there. I hoped it would work out because it's so close to home, but there are too many other groomers in West Seattle for us to return there. My dog was seriously wiped out and slightly traumatized when we left there. It's too bad. Pros: knowledgeable, enthusiastic, affordable Cons: shop conditions, poor grooming, communication more
