Ever notice the stale smell when you walk into the Ala Moana CPK? I don’t know why, but let’s talk about the food. Everyone knows about their pizzas and salads, but have you ever tried their appetizers? I’ve recently been feasting on their lettuce wraps. They have two different dishes, one with either stir fried chicken, or shrimp or a combination of both, or they also have a spicy orange glazed version of the same. The appetizer comes with a “quarter” of a head of lettuce, where you have to peel of a leaf and roll it with the sautéed chicken or shrimp that’s cooked with black mushrooms, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts and crispy long rice noodles. Great food!
