Excellent sandwiches, very reasonable prices. I had the Wave rider... turkey, pesto, red peppers, mustard... yummy! It was really tasty. They toasted the bread really nice too. So...

When I saw that Honeyhole was an editorial nominee, I thought perhaps there were two restaurants with the same name. But unfortunately that is not the case. Sandwiches are uni...

Yum Yum gimmee some! 7/28/2006

The Honeyhole is not only delicious, but talk about a great location. I make a point of building an entire afternoon around the Honeyhole. What's better than making your way up the hill (great exercise) only to stop for a delicious sandwich. I especially like the pesto sandwich. After I fill my belly, my friends and I usually enjoy talking a quick walk a few doors down to pop into Babeland for a candy colored selection of adult accoutrements. Who can go wrong!?!? more

It's ok 1/5/2006

I really wanted to like Honey Hole, but it just wasn't that great. I really appreciate that they have several vegetarian and vegan options and that the options are pretty creative, but nothing was really tasty and pleasing to me. more

a hole in the wall that's worth knowing about 12/27/2005

Open from 10am-2am this place is a great spot for food at lunchtime and in the evening and then later on in the night, HoneyHole opens up as a bar. It's the perfect neighborhood spot to grab a bite to eat or have a cocktail later on. I've never had a sandwich I didn't enjoy there and the tomato bisque soup offered on Wednesdays is awesome! It does get a little crowded at lunch, but I recently learned of the delivery option for those who would prefer to eat their lunch in their home or at their desk during the workweek. Something to consider.... more

Good sandwiches and a laid back atmosphere 10/23/2005

The Honey Hole makes a high quality sandwich. I don't know if it's the best in town, but it makes the list. The hot sandwiches are my usual choice, starting with "Chachi's Favorite" and followed closely by the "Waverider". The atmosphere is mellow and the service is friendly. Other's on Judy's Book have mentioned how great the fries are, and I must agree. Perfectly crisp. Next time your in the area, grab a sandwich. You won't regret it. more

Hearty sandwiches, Great ambiance, Reasonable prices 9/29/2005

Honeyhole is the best independent sandwich shop I've come across in Seattle. The sandwiches are of a hearty portion and they don't skimp on the meat. The hot sandwiches especially are very satisfying. They're a bit on the pricey side, but not unreasonable, and much better than anything you'd get at a franchise. Ordinarily, you can walk up to the counter and order a sandwich to go. But at 5:00 PM they draw a black curtain to hide the counter and wait staff will take your order at your table. They also serve beer! The place has great atmosphere; it is dimly lit and has all sorts of kooky artifacts adorning the walls and ceiling. more

ho-hum 9/22/2005

All my friends raved about this place- maybe they just built it up so much that Honey Hole couldn't live up to it, but I wasn't as psyched about it as they were. The sandwich was good, but not any better than any other sandwich place. I was there for lunch, so maybe the night time ambiance is more fun. more

YUMMY! 9/15/2005

I love the Honey Hole. Their fries are perfect and every sandwich I've tried is delicious. I particularly enjoy their barbeque sandwiches. Definitely worth the trip to Capital Hill. The ambience is dark, quirky and unique. It can get smoky, but that is the only drawback. Happy hour is a great deal if you're looking for appetizers, but I recommend getting a sandwich! more

Good food, weak drinks 9/9/2005

I appreciate that they havea liquor license now, but I come here for a meal, not for a night of drinking. The sandwiches are excellent--very flavorful and chock full of fillings. I mostly order the hot sandwiches, but the cold options, especially the Summer Babe are excellet as wel. There is a large vegetarian menu as well if you don't eat me. Also--they deliver! more

Honeyhole 8/18/2005

There seem to be very few places in Seattle where one can get a good sandwich for $7 or less. Well, this is one of them. Awesome sandwiches, both vegetarian and carnivorous, for a decent price. The atmosphere is appropriate to the area—weird, eclectic, and unique. If you’re thinking a sandwich just won’t be enough, get their French fries or the artichoke dip on the side. Both are phenomenal. more

Great Local Sandwhich Place 8/17/2005

The Honeyhole opened a few years ago. I was in grad school at SU at the time. They serve really good subs and sandwiches, including tasty veggie ones too. The menu is original and unique, and everything on there is very good. (My favorite is the Liotta). The guys who own the place are two cool young brothers, and the staff and customers are friendly and eclectic. A best bet for Capitol Hill. more

Saucy Sandwiches and tall beers 8/16/2005

The honey hole isn't just a vegetarian restaurant... in fact most of the menu consists of meat sandwiches. But the vegetarian options are so good they deserve special note (coming from a vegetarian tired of the usual sprout/tomato/creamcheese vegi sandwich.) The grilled sandwiches are fantastic, and all come with a choice of fries or potato salad. (good fries.) the beers come in unusually large glasses and are the perfect beverage for a leisirely afternoon people watching at this trendy local. i love this place for thinking beyond the typical vegetarian sandwiches and offering us spicy mayo, grilled cheeses, all the gooodies we usually have to envy from afar. the downside is that smoking is allowed inside (it is also a bar), which can be offensive to some while trying to eat. more

Once you get past the name........ 8/16/2005

The Honey Hole is one of those places that gets the right combination of atmosphere, quality food, drink selection, and price. The sandwiches are amazing, either the hot or the cold varieties, and the fries are highly complimentary. Plus, the staff are always friendly and there never seems to be a hurry to get you out of there. more

i can't stop thinking about the vegan blt 6/30/2005

it's true. the vegan blt at the honey hole with veganaise (a mayonnaise without dairy products) is amazing. Not a day goes by that I don't want to order it and get the crispy fries that come with it. I usually order to go, but you can stay there and, though a bit dark, it's a nice atmostphere. a good place to go with friends. more

It's to fry for 5/1/2005

I have been on a quest for the perfect french fry since I moved to Seattle. Crisp and golden brown on the outside, soft on the inside. I found them at the Honey Hole. Their french fries are amazing, the burger is quite good, and my girlfriend is in love with the vegan BLT with veganaise. They are good for casual dining and also for a date. My girlfriend had flowers delivered there for our anniversary and they accepted them and brought them to our table. Also, if they make a mistake, they are ready to give you a free sandwhich. more
