Went for lunch yesterday but spent most of the afternoon due to absolutely awful service. Food was ok but if you plan on conversing with others at your table, it is just too loud...

Great burger 9/14/2007

Lunch is very crowded; but I have been there at least a dozen times and have always been happy with the food; and the service. I have been both seated at the bar, and at the restaurant - and have had good service, and the blue cheese burger was absolutely fantastic. Pros: Food, Service, Ambience Cons: Crowded more

Lunch -- not the entire afternoon! 3/30/2006

Absolutly terrible 11/20/2002

I went to One North Kitchen after a long day at work with my co-workers for a relaxing drink and appetizers. We sat at the bar, and the bartender looked at us as if our check would not be high enough, hence a lower tip. By the way I always leave an excellent tip. When I asked for the manager, it seemed as if management could not decide you was supposed to speak to me. Anyhow, we tried another place down the street called Emil's and our night was salvaged. Pros: parking, food Cons: service, management more

great food 11/19/2002

Attended dinner with clients. We were all very pleased with the decor and the food was excellent. The Chef came out to our table to check on us personally. Great selection of fish. more

Food soaked in coleslaw juice 8/21/2002

Ate there for lunch and we sat outside and that was nice because it was a beautiful day in Chicago. That's the best I can say about the place. My chicken sandwich was soaked in the coleslaw juice that was spread all over the plate. My fries were also soaked. Without the juice the sandwich would have been mediocre at best because of the blandness of the chicken. Actually I would have enjoyed the meal if I would have just kept eating the bread, it was pretty good. Service was also mediocre at best. Its a shame because this area needs a good lunch restaurant. Pros: bread, location Cons: food, service more

Dismal 8/16/2002

Okay corporate-lunch-style decor, pretty typical. The food needs help, though. I've been just once, but my friend's appetizer was frozen at the center, both when she got it and when it came back from the kitchen. How can that happen? Worse, my Thai salad looked and tasted like it was shoveled out of a large bucket. Even worser! The chicken in my salad was raw. Worst: another friend found a bone in his. I don't know, maybe it's a new place short on help or something: benefit of the doubt granted. But they better get it soon. more
