I recently have decided that I want to be an egg donor. However I contacted Concievabilities and they were rude, and treated me like a number. Not only that I came across an article praising the goodness of egg donors, and I saw a quote from Nazca Fontes the President of the organization and this is what she said!\r
Nazca Fontes, director of ConceiveAbilities, said she hasn't seen an increase in donor applications because her agency recruits older, more educated egg donors who are ""a little bit more recession-proof."" There have been recent speculations that women are being donors because of the recession this country is facing. Whether or not this is true, how dare her say something about people who are willing to help, and give someone the gift of a child! Whether or not, someone is being a donor because of financial constraints, the FACT IS...they are doing something good! Recession Proof!?? If it wasn't for the good people in this world YOU WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO HELP PEOPLE HAVE BABIES! Who cares what their situation is! They have the resources you need! What this says about her and their company is they are judgemental and if don't fit ""their standards"" then they want nothing to do with you. What exactly did she mean by her quote? How about the fact that someone is doing something amazing for a family, aside from money. Did if ever occur to her that maybe people out there aren't just selling their eggs because they are low class""? Maybe it's because they are good people with good morals as well. It's absolutely terrfying to me that someone in this position and with this type of company is so ignorant! Maybe if you aren't as big of a snot as she is...then they will turn you away. Honestly if this is how they treat their donors, I can ONLY imagine how they treat their recipients! After reading this I would never ever participate as an egg donor for them, not would I reccommend any person to go there.
Cons: Rude and Judgemental
