Ben White Automotive Research. I wanted to give 0 stars, but did not have that option. I am a single mom of 4 and only have Wed and Thur off. I called Ben White Automotive because my father found a coupon on the website for a 4 wheel rotation. My father called to see if I need to make an appointment and the man that answered said that I just need to come in with the coupon. So, just to make sure, I called as well and asked when I could come in. The same man that answered told me that I can come anytime after lunch. I asked, well what time is your lunch? He said anytime after 12. I showed up right at 1pm and was told that I could not be seen. I explained that I had just spoken with him on the phone and he told me to come in anytime after 12. He then interrupted me and rudely told me that he had some others come in and it is first come first serve. He did not tell me this when I called. As I was leaving, he said here take our card. I declined. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone due to the horrible customer service and false information given to me. I drove all the way out there only to have to go all the way back home. My father works for IBM and I work for the State....I have a lot of people looking for car repair etc....I will not be recommending this place at all. more

I am a woman with limited knowledge of car mechanics and I have A LOT of anxiety when dealing with my car repairs. I am honored to compliment Kevin at Ben White Automotive for being so patient with me. Kevin took my questions and concerns seriously and made me feel like a valued customer. He appreciated that while I am ignorant about cars, I am very intelligent and he never insulted my intelligence like I have felt at auto shops before. He accommodated my last minute schedule. He was gentle and informative when he pointed out other issues I would need to address. I never felt like he was up-selling me, rather, I felt like he was educating me on how I can best keep my car in great shape. more

I have over 7 cars and have used numerous shops all over town and I have been coming to Ben White North for 2 years now and can tell you with total certainty that this is a FIRST class shop. The managers are honest and if something is in question, will side with the customer's best interest to gain a repeat customer over a quick buck. The mechanics are very knowledgeable and are always willing to explain and even educate me on repairs. If I were a professional mechanic, this is where I would want to work and that says it all. more

Amazing how different an experience can be for some. I found that the repair work on my 2003 Honda Accord was done properly (been 2 months with not a single problem) for a lot less than the dealer wanted ($1795 vs $2300). The staff was friendly and my car was delivered back clean and on time. I would definitely recommend this shop and I would use them again. more

My wife brought our Dodge pickup and Honda CRV in to get worked on. They charged us over $3000 and kept the vehicles for weeks. Other mechanics later informed us that a part we were charged for was never installed, screws were left loose causing more damage to the vehicle, several examples of substandard workmanship, and substantially over charged. Basically, we were royally screwed. We learned an expensive lesson and will never go back. I recommend you look elsewhere. more

I've been using them for years. They employ competent technicians and have been very honest with their assessments. Also there have been times when fixing one part (disassembly) cuts down the time to fix a second issue; they have reduced the repair time which is a very nice gesture. more

Again! I have made a few trips to Ben White Auto North. I am greatful for their expertise and efficient work. My aging Mitsubishi disappoints me at times and Ben White is there to pick up the slack. My car is fixed right the first time. I defiinitely recommend Ben White. more

I had a wonderful experience at this location. Gary took care of everything from the first phone call to paying the bill. We were going on vacation.He made sure my minivan was ready to go on time.I reccomend them if you live up north. more

Best Experience I've had in a Loooong Time with a car shop. These guys are Honest And Fair with their pricing and same day service is impressive. I called the Dealer and was told it would be A Day or So before they could get to me. I called Ben White and was told to come in right away, and was pleased to know I could get it back the same day. Wow, what a relief. I am new to Austin and did not know where to take my car for repairs so I did some research.... I am glad I did and even more so, very happy I took it to these guys! I am familiar enough with auto repair not to get ripped off, gladly; this was the least of my concern. I was treated fairly in regards to price. The service and satisfaction is bar none, the best I have received from an auto repair shop. Great job guys!!! more

I had a great experience with Ben White Auto. When the power steering pump died on my Corolla, the guys at Ben White promptly diagnosed the problem and outlined what needed to be fixed. They had me back up and running by the end of the day. more

When the dealership is taking 2 or 3 days to do normal maintenance, I started looking elsewhere. Ben White Automotive is very convenient and on my 2nd visit, I noticed Mike behind the counter. I have know Mike for over 12 years back when he was at Midas on Guadalupe! more

The staff at Ben White were friendly, professional and well-ready to answer any questions about the potential repairs needed, the importance of said repairs and the potential consequences of not getting certain maintenance done. I called with a dead battery and they came to get me and ordered my battery and got me back to work very fast. They were nice, friendly, fast, and got me back on the road!! more

While any A/C repair is costly, they were able to replace it quickly and for a reasonable price, as compared to other repair shops. They even were able to show me what caused the A/C to go out, and gave me options for the type of repair. more

I always feel welcome, there's never a wait. Why I went: Brake light went on; brakes were vibrating. We first took the car into Firestone who normally does a great job and we still use them. We told them the brake fluid was also a little low. They looked at the car and told us that the brakes were fine, fluid was fine, and the light could be a faulty sensor in the master cylinder but they didn't do that kind of work. We weren't about to just say okay to the permanently ON brake warning light, so we grudgingly took it into Nissan. We've had horrible issues with dealers in the past, mostly that if their computer doesn't say anything's wrong, they won't try to find the problem.- Lazy and overpriced. Nissan said the master cylinder needed replacement and it would cost $600 + $100 diagnostic fee. Um, that seems a little pricey to replace a $100 part? So I did some research and found Ben White, a little gem that happened to be super close! They said nothing was wrong with the brakes and simply topped off the brake fluid, which got rid of the warning light. I've taken our cars in twice since, and am happy with their being vigilant about what other issues there are about the cars and the price tag at the end! Plus, I love that friendly guy with the fluffy beard. more
