I took my roommate out to dinner last month to celebrate her upcoming move to Italy, so of course I had to choose my favorite Italian restaurant at which to dine. Mondello's owners are both native Italians, and I have it on good authority that there is an actual nona in the kitchen directing the cooking. They make their own pasta, the sauces are fresh and tasty, and their bruchetta is to die for. Their decor is charming and the service excellent. Try the gnocchi!
