If you love pizza, thin, and regular well prepare for the king. Chicago deep dish, I mean real Chicago is the thing. Ever since I tried Giordano's no other pizza slices up. I like Papa John's, Mellow Mushroom, Lilly's Amore, I love NY (all in Raleigh, NC), Their pizza is perfect, maybe a little cheesy for some (especially if you are a New Yorker). Giordanos' in downtown Chicago (Rush Street) always has you waiting at least an hour but it's one of the few places I say is worth it. I prefer my pizza veggie (Mushroom, onions, gp) but get it the way you want, they have so many choices! The staff was polite, courteous and attentive. more

Best. Pizza. Ever. . . . 4/16/2006

Hands down this is the best pizza in the world. One day last year, my husband and I were in Chicago, we decided to visit a random pizzeria and this was the first one we came to. Now, each time we’re in Chicago, we go back and will continue to do so as I don’t see us ever getting tired of the world’s best pizza. You can even go online to their website and have it delivered to you packed in dry ice…just pop it in the oven to cook. more

THE Chicago style pizza place 4/15/2006

You can watch them make it before your eyes. The pizza takes an hour to bake, so come prepared to wait. And it has more cheese than someone probably eats in a week. BUT it is gooooood. This is a nice location, right off of Michigan ave, has lots of seating, highly recommend. more

stuffed Chicago pizza 4/15/2006

When we visit Chicago there are a couple of places that we always frequent. One of them is Giordano's Pizza. After years of trying different types there, we now usually get a spinach and Italian sausage stuffed pizza. Giordano's does it the best...we have never tasted another stuffed pizza that comes close to the goodness of Giordano's. more

Great Spinach Pizza 4/3/2006

Chicago is famous for their unique deep dish style pizza and Giordano's is the best of all of them. They use the freshest ingredients and dont skimp on the toppings either. There are also locations all over chicago so you are almost always just a delivery away. Definately geive the spinach pizza a try and you will be so hooked you wont try anything else. Their pizza is a cheese lovers dream. more

If it's the only pizza you have in Chicago... 3/14/2006

You won't be disappointed. A small pizza uses an entire pound of mozzarella cheese. Imagine how much is on a large? The restaurant itself is nothing fancy - definitely just a pizzeria, but you hardly notice once you're stuffing your mouth with this stuffed goodness. Of course you can opt for delivery or takeout if you're in Chicago, and if you're an out of towner and fall in love with this pizza (and you will) you can have it one shipped to you anywhere. It comes packed in dry ice and arrives within a day so it's really almost as good as ordering it in the restaurant. more

Best Pizza Ever 3/14/2006

I absolutely loooove Giordano's Pizza. I guess that puts me in the category of Chicagoans who prefer Gioradnos over Ginos. But whatever it is, this pizza just rocks. Tons of cheese and I love spinach with that... MMM...just writing about it makes my mouth water. Good thing, because this place will deliver! In minimum time too and the pizza is always piping hot. If you eat in, the service is great, the pizza is even greater, and you will leave here very, very happy! more

It gets super packed and the tables are a bit too close together for my tastes. But, it's a good place to get deep-dish pizza - just not the best. more

Good For A Night Out 3/12/2006

This place has the perfect Chicago pizza atmosphere. I would go as far to say that it beats out Gino's East as far as taste and appearance. If you are looking for a romantic night out then this might not be the best restaurant, but it is perfect for a large group or family. be careful on the weekends, because it is always packed with tourists. I love the thin crust pizza here. It's cheap, freshly made with fresh and right then and there prepared ingredients. Great crowd of hungry customers always. They also deliver small pizzas that one person can munch on. Prices are from $12-$20 depending on if you add more toppings. They don't bake the pineapples though...I hate that! more

Stuffed pizza 9/17/2005

This place has the most incredible pizza. they are known throughout the city for having the best pizza in chicago, and its pretty much true. Their stuffed pizza is great, and the variety of toppings (or stuffings in some cases) are really original. They also have some really delicious appetizers, such as fried zuchinni. more

Chicago's Famous Stuffed Pizza! 8/24/2005

I'm on business in Chicago and everyone I know said to make sure and visit Giordano's pizza. They were absolutely right - this place is great. We had a special stuffed pizza - sausage, mushrooms, basically your "supreme". We ordered a small between 2 people and 2 slices were SO MUCH FOOD! The pizza also is great cold and reheats well. The mozzerella sticks were a little cold so the cheese was chunky, and the house salad was pretty plain but overall we were very happy for our meal with the price. more

Chicago Pizza at it's Best 7/12/2005

Both the thin crust and stuffed pizza's are amazing. The crust, sauce and ingredients are fresh and very tasty. Their crust is buttery and flaky and I could eat it all by itself. If they aren't voted as number one in Chicago then they should be. I get cravings for this delicious pizza every so often and take the drive into Chicago just for the pizza. more
