BAD SERVICE! 3/10/2011

BAD service department! It was bad under the previous owner and things haven't improved. I took my Titan in for a leak in the rear dif and they wound up fixing some seal in the rear wheels instead. Had to take it back again for them to finally fix it with no apology whatsoever. This time a leaking transmission cooler hose and a quote of $349, then $180 for flushing transmission. Two problems here other than the cost. The first is that the hoses aren't bad, the truck only has 58k. If you do a little research you'll find a service bulletin on this, reference NTB05-022a . You'll also find that a simple hose clamp on each end fixes it as the clamps Nissan uses you can't tighten which is where the leaks are. Service bulletin states new clamps are needed. The one leaking clamp sits right on top by the radiator and it was so loose I could spin it around. The second issue is with the transmission flush that they recommended. Again if you do a little research Nissan put out a service bulletin, reference number NPSB/07-027, that states "damage resulting from the effects of an aftermarket system flush will not be covered by the Nissan Limited Vechicle Warranty." more to that point in bold "Nissan North America does not advocate the use of aftermarket flushing systems and strongly advises against performing these services on any Nissan or Infiniti vehicle." It states these aftermarket flush systems have become popular due to profit. Service like this and this place will close down as quickly as the last one did. If and I mean if I have to have work done by the stealership, I'll happily drive 30 miles out of my way to do it. more

After taking in our 2005 Murano in for warranty work that was a joke but Burien Nissan is the closest so we suck it up and take our car there for oil changes... But.. they must put warranty work on the back burner and only work on the car if they have time. It wasn't fixed completely so we will just live with the interior noise and play the stereo loud... As for the oil change, the professionals forgot to put the oil cap on which caused a big mess in the engine.. at least they give free car washes... Now I bought a 2007 Nissan Sentra 2.0s from Younker cause the Burien sales never returned my call and the good part about them not calling is that i saved money by going to Younker $500+ which even beat the Costco program price. First issue was after 1000 miles, the side view mirror cap fell off and cracked... no warranty just out of pocket for poor car build. Second issue is a flat tire. I followed the car manual and did as required. The TPMS light stayed on and failed to turn off after completing the recommendations. Another $40 charge. No more Nissans. Back to Toyotas. more

BURIEN NISSAN SOLD ME A LEMON 9/5/2006

I bought a car from Burien Nissan six months ago. This is the fourth car i have purchased from them. This car has been in the shop six times in six months. They have had it for five weeks and are still not done with it. I have never been treated with so much dis respect in my life. Bob Brice is the man who sold me the car who when i brought it back for the sixth time would not give me a loaner and also did not care at all abouth the fact that I had four children that i could not get to school not to mention me getting to work. I will never in my life do business with Burien Nissan. more

I have a 2006 Nissan Frontier, which I purchased from Burien Nissan I had a problem with the manual transmission not meshing( when shifting gears there where a loud scraping noise) I took the truck in and ask for some one to take a drive with me to hear the noise one of the tech rode with me and to my surprise he told me that this a Japanese made truck and you can't drive it like you drive an American car, I just about died! little did he know I am a mechanic also, I wrote this on the repair work order! transmission was replaced. also the truck has a rattling noise in the front right passenger side window, it was not repaired still rattle,I personal think that the tech was RUDE and not professional. this is poor workmanship on the part of the service department and the service managers. I will not take my truck back to Burien Nissan for any service and or repair! more
