Great to do business with. I had a lot of questions about the AC unit I needed to replace in my home and Fred from sales was able to help me out and figure out what I needed. The price I paid for my unit was pretty reasonable. I called around a price checked and no one was even close to the rate they were giving me. \r I've had a few questions since, and they've been happy to help me out even though the sale was a while back. This is a bad company! There is no warranty even though they advertise there is, they will not take returns and will tell you that you must have the repairs made and then you will be reimbursed. The unit I purchased had a cracked header and did not have any Freon in it when I purchased it, I did not find this out until after it was installed. The repairs cost me $372 dollars and they will only offer me $150 for labor, nothing for Freon! Also the company that repaired the unit informed me the unit was a year old! more

Goodman offers no warrenty of furnaces ordered by internet or by phone/unless dealer selling unit is also installing contractor!Budget claims they will cover all manufactures warrenties!If they do not cotact Hillsborough County Consumer Protection Agency! more

A heating/cooling system was purchased in June 2001. Each time a delivery date and time was set, the shipping people failed to show up (at least 3 times). Being in the military, my son could not keep trying to be at home to sign for the shipment. When it was finally shipped, he could not be there to sign the paperwork. When he got home that day, he examined the shipment and found that a UV light ($195.00) which was purchased was not included in the shipment. He immediately called the company (Chris and/or Wendy) and reported the missing UV light. This call was documented in Budget's computer system. It also turned out that the information regarding the appropriate sized unit for the size of his house was wrong, so he requested an exchange. He informed them that it had to arrive before 7/15 because of his military considerations. He learned the right sized unit still was not shipped by 7/11, so the whole thing was cancelled. The company refunded the money (except for several hundred dollars for shipping) but refuses to refund the money for the missing UV light because our son was not there to sign the invoice when it was finally shipped. The manager (Tanya Brown) admits that they were notified that the UV light was omitted in the shipment and that there are notations in the computer from company employees stating as much, but still refuses to refund the $195.00 for the UV light because our son was not there to sign the shipping invoice when it was FINALLY delivered, even though she also admits that the shipping company failed to deliver it on the appointed dates several times before they actually did deliver it. In other words, Brown admitted they knew the UV light never was shipped, but claims she ""cannot"" refund our money. We paid for something we never got and was never shipped despite their own erroneous paperwork. She did, however, thank our son for his ""service"" in the military! Nice way to thank our servicemen - cheat them out of almost $200. more

I purchased a new heating and cooling system from this company on 6/30/08. My heat pump had failed, but I was told that I couldn't use the R-410A heat pump I had chosen with my existing R-22 air handler. Reluctantly, I agreed to by an R-410A air handler, as well. I was assured that's what I was purchasing. The compressor in my new heat pump failed a little more than a year later, and two weeks ago the TXV valve on the air handler failed. The technician who replaced it noted that it said R22 on the bottom of the valve. With little effort I was able to determine that the air hander I'd been sold was an R-22 unit, not an R410A. Budget Heating & Air finally confirmed that, but only offered to replace the wrong TXV valve that they had just sent me and I had installed at my own expense. They accepted no responsibility for the hundreds of dollars that I've already spent on labor as a result of sending me the wrong air handler. Good luck to anyone who chooses to do business with Budget. I hope you won't need it. more

I purchased my Goodman unit from Budget Heating in 2008 and got a great deal. The staff was professional and very helpful. In October I had a fan motor go bad. I received my part under warranty with no problems and my unit is up and running fine. My electric bill has dropped an average of 65.00 per month after installing a 15 SEER unit.\r \r Thanks\r \r Christine more
