Businiess name:  Budget Heating & Air

Review content:
I purchased a new heating and cooling system from this company on 6/30/08. My heat pump had failed, but I was told that I couldn't use the R-410A heat pump I had chosen with my existing R-22 air handler. Reluctantly, I agreed to by an R-410A air handler, as well. I was assured that's what I was purchasing. The compressor in my new heat pump failed a little more than a year later, and two weeks ago the TXV valve on the air handler failed. The technician who replaced it noted that it said R22 on the bottom of the valve. With little effort I was able to determine that the air hander I'd been sold was an R-22 unit, not an R410A. Budget Heating & Air finally confirmed that, but only offered to replace the wrong TXV valve that they had just sent me and I had installed at my own expense. They accepted no responsibility for the hundreds of dollars that I've already spent on labor as a result of sending me the wrong air handler. Good luck to anyone who chooses to do business with Budget. I hope you won't need it.
