Richard and Barbara Maryatt from Budget Blinds did a fantastic job for us. We recently moved into a new house with NO existing blinds and no sense of what we needed. Richard visited our house 3 times to review product choices, measure windows, and ensure we were completely aligned pre-installation. Richard also measured all our windows, so that when/if we want to install blinds on the remainder of our windows, all we have to do is call and they'll have all our measurements on file. The installation itself was seamless too - quick, clean and perfectly executed. Highly recommend working with this company - great service and they're local! more

I have neglected to get proper window treatments for years as I thought ikea blinds worked. But when my parents hired Richard to install custom blinds throughout their NE home I was ready to take the plunge as it looked and felt so good. Richard came over as well as another company I called to compare price and personality. Richard won hands down in the consultation. He was professional friendly and brought so many options. He even came out and fixed something that was not to my liking aesthetically without batting an eyelash, The best thing about working with a family business besides supporting local community is that they actually really care about the product and the end result and how happy you are. He was obviously invested in how we felt about the process. We are beyond satisfied with the whole process. Even his installation team was professional courteous and a delight to interact with. And the beautiful blinds really do make a huge difference. I have heard from many friends who have come over that it took our house to the next level. Thanks to Richard and the whole crew! more

I was very pleased with the service and product that I received from budget blinds. All the window coverings fit and work well, they were delivered when promised and the installer was very efficient in the installation & also very pleasant. more

I cannot tell you how professional, nice, patient and helpful Richard was. I cannot take time off work for these kinds of things, so Richard was nice enough to come on a Saturday to show me what was available (I, of course had to look at lots of options and he was very patient with me-actually seemed like he enjoyed hauling samples in and out of the house). He then measured all the windows on which I wanted to have blinds installed, gave me the estimate-I told him to go ahead with the order. He said it was no problem to install them on a Saturday (what a blessing these pepole are). The blinds were ready before the estimated time-they called to schedule the installation and came out, removed all the old pleated shades and were willing to take them with them. Richard installed all of the blinds himself. He was very meticulous-cleaned up after himself like a pro-there was NO MESS anywhere. The blinds have made a HUGE difference. I am an avid backyard bird watcher, so one of the reasons I chose blinds is so I could see the birds without them seeing me-before, I couldn't do that. These people are professional, know their stuff and are truly customer service-oriented folks, which is hard to find in this day and age. I told Richard that I had not smiled as much since my husband passed away. This was a very positive experience and I would recommend them to anyone who wanted any kind of window coverings. more

Barbara and Richard were always friendly and professional. Their prices seemed very fair and affordable. Richard even offered a discount coupon which brought the price down even more. I appreciated the house call, with them bringing in samples to look at in the room, rather than having to visit a store or showroom and try to figure it out. Richard discussed all options with us and helped us figure out what would work best and was sensitive to our budget. The blinds are working great for the purpose we bought them for (light blocking). One of the blinds ended up being defective, and Barbara and Richard coordinated to have the unit promptly replaced. They obviously care about their business and work hard. They were a pleasure to work with. I will definitely call them when I need other window treatments in the future. more
