I grew up in Germany and have taken many trips to Italy. This is the closest thing to real Italian food/atmosphere. If you're looking for the type of restaurant where you pay for the artistic drizzle of sauce over 2 oz meat, or getting in and out fast, this is NOT the place to go. You're obviously better off at a plush place or a Taco Cabana. But if you're willing to go to a place that's just like Italy - loud, fun, huge portions of greasy (healthy olive oil) food, and a relaxed atmosphere, then this is where you need to be. It's so typical of people to want to be seated, served, fed, and outta there in 20 minutes -that's NOT how Italians eat. We had our rehearsal dinner there in April and EVERYBODY loved it...including the big portions of left overs we got to take home.
