I requested Bryant to perform their spring check and cleaning of my 12+ year old heat pump and the technician showed up on schedule (Friday) to check the unit out. He discovered multiple small issue and a two significant ones. (these were not unexpected) He had taken pictures of all of the issues and took me out to show me the specific problems. A "shrader (?) valve" was leaking causing low Freon and there was an electrical/breaker problem that needed to be repaired costing an estimated $500-$600, The unit was old and required "R22" Freon which the government is not allowing to be manufactured because of environmental issues, so it costs $100 pound to recharge the system.
After reviewing all of the possible issues and costs and doing some research, I decided to purchase a new heat pump and air handler system.
They returned on Monday morning as promised with a complete new system and had it installed before 5:00pm. They did an excellent job of cleaning up to leave the area as they had found it.
We have been using it as a heat source and also as a cooling source since May 2nd and are complete satisfied with the unit, the service performed and the warranties provide for the hardware and labor.
I have no problem in giving Bryant a 5 star rating.
