Forget the hype 7/31/2007

This place is really over-rated. The prices are outrageous and they completely wrecked my favotite pair of shoes -- that was after inncreasing the original estimate for re-soleing by 50%. Never again! more

undeserved accolades 4/7/2007

I agree completely with the other review, as I have had similar experiences. I used Brooks in the past and found their turn around time to be slow. Once, after trekking downtown to retrieve a pair of shoes (the day after they were said to have been finished) I was told they had not been done and that I would have to come back again 2 days later. Another time I brought in a very expensive pair of shoes that were returned to me in an unwearable condition. The owner, though admitting there was issue with the shoes, was smug, unapologetic and combative. more

Poor quality, rude service 11/16/2006

Perhaps if you?re held in the same esteem as retailer greats such Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Stuart Weitzman, Jill Sander and Prada, you may receive adequate service. I found that the level of quality to be quite disappointing and unimpressive given their high ratings in shoe repair. The nonchalant and unapologetic attitude of the store?s owner was almost as inexcusable as receiving a pair of boots with distinctly different shapes after being resoled.
