Hit or miss 8/4/2010

Like most antique markets this is a real hit or miss. I have bought one thing from here and I was pretty happy with the result, last time I went however it was a little disappointing. Happy hunting! more

Awesome vintage market! 11/29/2005

This is one wild place to look for great vintage antiques. The store has been featured on HG TV and various other lifestyle programs for being reknowned in their selection of hard to find accent pieces, lamps, furniture, and vintage art. You will find prices at this antique market to be high but this is no different from any other specialty dealers. The layout is beautiful and you will certainly feel nostalgic (if old enough) for the olden days more

If you need that needle in a Haystack... 8/19/2002

This is the place to check if you are looking for that unique item you can't find anywhere else. You will probably pay a good penny for it though as these guys aren't cheap. But hey, they do offer layaway! Huge store with different vendors! Very clean with great ambiance! Open every day! It's one of my favorite for gifts! Pros: Large selection, Unique items, Clean bright store Cons: Location is far north, Can be pricey more

    -Vintage Coin-Op "Pot of Gold" Penny Game. Made by J.F. Frantz Mfg Co, Chicago, circa 1930s/40s. Teal colored wood frame with airbrushed designs on side. Reverse painted glass front (as found). Works like a standing pinball game. Functional. Measures 21 1/4"H x 9 3/4"D x 13 3/4W. $295.00

    -20's Trophy Cocktail Shaker. Nickel/Silverplate. Oversized. 18" x 7" x 9". Reads: "To Bob Hotz from the Officers of Illinois Merchants Trust Co. SHAKE!" Side handle with larger vertical handle. Original lid and screw-off cap. $395.00

    -1942 Officers Guide. Hardcover. Great graphic! For Commissioned Officers of the U.S. Army. Wonderfully illustrated guidebook for servicemen. 500 pgs., 9th Ed. Published by Military Service Publishing Co. Measures approx. 6-1/2" x 9-1/2" x 1-1/4". $50.00

    -Fantoni/Raymor Owl Shelf Sitter. This rare, whimsical item sits on the edge of a shelf with its feet hanging off the edge. Marked on reverse "Fantoni Italy for Raymor." Measures approx. 4" x 1-1/2" x 6". $150.00

    -Prudential Souvenir Skyscraper Building Bank. Mfg. by Stam Co., Chicago, Ill. Original bottom; no key. Made for the Mid-America National Bank, a tenant in the Prudential tower. Great condition; only missing top spire. Measures approx. 4-1/4" x 3"D x 6-1/2". $275.00

    -Upsala Ekeby Tall Vase, c 1950s. Textured hatchwork design on exterior with glazed chartreuse interior. Made in Sweden, designed by Mari Simmulson. Stamped signature on bottom. 12 1/4" tall x 6 1/2" wide x 3 1/2 deep. $125.00

    -1970s Chrome Fiber Optic Rotating Disco Lamp. Top of ball shape turns and also lights fiber optic strands. Electrical works fine and chrome surface in fine condition. Base is 10 1/2" Diameter x 15" Tall. $65.00

    -Great Mod 1960s Male & Femail Oval Mirrors. Made in Japan. Made of molded/lacquered plastic with glass mirror and composite backing. Each mirror measures 10" x 13". $95.00 for Pair.
