Not a fan of Park Meadows Mall, but Brio was really good. I would deal with the parking lot to go back. more

Thursday's ""beggars purse"" pasta is in my Denver top 5 10/12/2011

James at Brio's Park Meadow location has raised the bar on exceptional service. Brio has mastered the ""sta-get-tee"" or ""Beggars Purse"" pasta, tragically only offered one day a week (Thursdays). I travel a lot and was back in town, coveting this pasta. As a favor, the kitchen went through the extra prep to make it for me. James was working a large seating party that evening but still accommodated me. Pretty rare these days to see service go above and beyond. The pasta was perfection, the consistency of the beggars purses is phenomenal, the sauce is complimentary sensation of pepper, bacon, seasoning, and light cream. Tip: ask for extra sauce. I like their Chianti by the glass (the one listed half-way down the wine list), it's flavorful and smooth without overpowering the pasta. I admit, I haven't tried anything else on the menu to know what else may rate 5 stars. But if James is working, remember to request his section for 5 star service. This place is on my top 5 Denver favorites. more

Brio - great service 10/10/2010

I'm not sure what these others are talking about. I supppose you could walk into any business and find fault if that's what you want to see.\r I have been eating at Brio at least monthly since they opened two years ago. I have never hd anything other that extremely attentive service and consistantly good food. The management has been very accomodating and friendly - just like a neighborhood restaurant. I strongly suggest you dine here with friends!!! more

Great Lunch 10/9/2009

I've been to the Brio a few times and I am never disappointed. I love the steak salad. Nice wine list, great ambiance and the service was good. I also love the lobster bisque! Pros: Love the atmosphere and the food more

Worst Dining Experience This Year 9/10/2009

OY, get it together Brio! We went on Aug 15th /w out of town guests. Seated well past reservation time. Took forever to order, than excruciating time before food served. Lasagna & calamari was good but my mushroom ravioli was totally burned to the plate and my sister's risotto was a doughy lump. Management seemed not to have a clue how to resolve this and actually could be seen at their station whispering and pointing at our table as if WE were the problem. Only the bad food was comped. I contacted the corporate HQ who were great, sent coupons and promised to get the entire meal comped. That we haven't seen yet but could still happen. \r Go to Maggianos for good italian & great service. Pros: Good Lasagna Cons: Burnt food, bad service more

Been there 2x and love it... 5/5/2009

We had a surprise lunch there on Saturday and the staff was awesome in helping us! They did balloons and seated us in an area that is sectioned off by curtains, etc. it was great. The service was much better this time around as the first time I went a few months ago I think they were still trying to figure it all out. I would recommend trying this place and then make your own ""review""!!! Pros: Spinach n Artichoke Dip is AWESOME more

Training, Training Training!!! 4/20/2009

This place seems to have promise but they MUST fix serious problems with the service. The suggestions below are based on both the service we rec'd this evening (4/20) and what I observed throughout the restaurant.\r \r (1) A staff member should not walk through the restaurant with a dull expression on his face -- yawning .... mouth wide open.\r \r (2) In a place that calls iitself a ""Grille"" and if a steak is cooked to order, do not disappear before the customer can cut it and check it. If the customer has to waive down another waiter to send it back, you have failed to take care of your customer. And yes, RARE really means a cool red center.\r \r (3) The glasses on the table no longer contain anything to drink. This is a pretty good clue that maybe the customers might want another drink. \r \r Brio has the potential to be a fine restaurant but it suffers from training issues that only management can address. Pros: Style and menu Cons: Service more

Go for lunch 4/13/2009

I met a friend for lunch there, and the food was delicious. That is the good part. The hosts, as the other reviewers wrote, were clueless, and needed help. There were actually lots of waiters by the host stand but for some reason they were unwilling or unable to help. So, after a long and wierd wait at the door, we were shown to a nearly empty dining room. Once there we were well taken care of. Our server helped with the large menu, but our food was delivered at different times, my pizza first, my friends rissoto about 10 minutes later, and no one said a word or apologized, or came by at all for that matter. The dining room was still half empty, and the server reappeared and dropped off our check. So we paid and left. Maybe they need a little time to figure it out, I heard it is a new restaurant. If we go back, but we'll either sit in the bar, or ask our server if we can eat at the same time. For a restaurant in the mall the food was better than we thought, but it is hard to get to and hard to park, so I am not sure we'd chance the service again. Pros: Great place to meet a friend for lunch Cons: Rough service more
