Good but Antiseptic 3/19/2006

I like the food here (especially during Restaurant Week when the portions and prices are a bit more palatable), but I find Brasserie to be very uncomfortable. Perhaps it is the stainless steel vibe - or the cafeteria glow that seems to come off of the clean edged furniture. I sometimes feel like I am eating in a restaurant of the future and it is a future world that I don't like. The desserts are worth the trip, though. If you come for nothing else (as I've said, I could pass on the decor as well as the entryway), come for some chocolate cake. more

swanky, swell and decadent brasserie 8/18/2005

this inviting french brasserie offers a lovely range of menu items. i love the fact that when you sit down your waiter brings a baguette and butter. then you can start with the best french onion soup this side of the atlantic. as for menu selections -- i haven't tried anything i didn't like -- but if you order the mussels, be prepared to share -- i've never seen a larger plate. also save room for the beignets, which are to die for. more
