Decent Experience 9/27/2011

We dealt with a salesman named Ed Tanner and had a pretty good overall experience. My husband had to do some negotiating due to the fact that the managing team tried to low-ball me on my trade in. We ended up with a price we could agree on and made a purchase. Happy with the vehicle and service overall. more

DO NOT BUY HERE! 4/28/2011

Good: I originally liked the price of the vehicle for the number of miles it had based on comparisons of many other vans around the country. When I got there and saw the vehicle, It was NOT as pictured on Autotrader, as the running boards had been removed. I asked them to reduce the price by the cost of replacing them and they did, but they acted like they were doing ME a favor rather than honoring the condition of the vehicle they sold since I had already pre paid for the vehicle before arriving in Florida.. Bad: They charged a hidden $100 fee that they said went to pay a 3rd party service provider for filing my out of state paperwork with my state's DMV. They took it out of the $350 they said they collected from me to cover the Tag & Registration fees in NM, and that I would get the balance returned to me. They kept the $100 out of this amount, and said it was "Legal" though the Hillsboro CO DMV doesn't think so, & they asked me to file a formal complaint which I am now doing, & adding to the 12 BBB NEG Complaints. Improvements: I would like to see Brandon ford held accountable for unfair business practices, and them be forced to disclose this HIDDEN $100 FEE they charge to out of town buyers. Also they should be forced to return this fee plus any punitive damages allowed by Florida State Law.. Other: I hope you have not purchased from Brandon Ford, and I hope after you reed this and the MANY negative reports on BBB.COM and Insiderpages.com and Dealerrater.com that you will reconsider doing any business with them. There appear to be many other reputable dealers listed on dealer rater in this area. Do Not Buy From Brandon Ford! They Are Dishonest! 4/26/2011

Good: They reduced the price of my vehicle $300 when I pointed out that the running boards pictured in the ad were no longer on the vehicle when I arrived in Florida to pick up the vehicle, but they acted like they were doing me a favor to adjust the price since equipment I wanted had been taken off of the vehicle AFTER I had placed a deposit on the vehicle!. Bad: The salesman Tim Houlis said that the dealership would collect $350 in anticipation of the amount needed to cover my title and Registration fees in New Mexico where I live, and they would refund the balance after the vehicle was registered. When I got the refund check, it was $100 short. When I called for an explanation, they said it was a fee they paid to a 3rd party on all out of state transactions, so they knew in advance of this fee, and they lied to me about it and hid it in my sales contract.. Improvements: I am in contact with the Hillsboro County MVD Regional office to file a formal complaint, their number is 813-612-7110 Opt 4. I will be forwarding on all of this info to the Florida AG's office, The BBB, InsiderPages.com, and dealerrater.com. I would like to have the authorities look into these dishonest practices and if hiding these type of fees is illegal, they should have to pay restitution to all of the customers who had them snuck onto their contracts, and did not realize it like I did.. Other: I did NOT thoroughly read through all of the comments posted by former customers when I first found the vehicle I wanted. I saw about as many good as bad, though the good were simply a few words, and the bad comments were LENGTHY! I believe in giving people the benefit of a doubt, and I mentioned to the salesman all the bad comments I read, and that when I got home, I would write up a nice comment about my experience there, after they addressed the running boards, but the $100 situation ended all of that!. more

Brandon Ford is by far the most courteous and complete dealership I have ever visited. The sales process went smoothly. They helped me to get the exact car I was looking for. The finance process when just as well. They even got me better financing than what I had arranged on my own. Will definitely make Brandon Ford my dealership of choice! more

I have purchased several cars from Brandon Ford over the years and actively use their service department. No business is perfect, but Brandon Ford comes close. Every dealing I have had was handled very professionally and has been pleasant. And the very few times a mistake was made, they were quick to correct it. I really believe this is one place that cares about their customers and want them to continue coming back, and it shows. more

Good place for my cars 11/18/2006

Look, I know car shopping sucks, period. You have to go looking for a car, drive it, find the one you like with the features you like, go inside the show room, haggle about the price, haggle about the trade in on your old car, etc. I have bought 4 cars from Brandon Ford. 3 Mustangs and a Ford Expedition. Currently we have the 2 Mustangs. In April, we bought our blue mustang. I love it to death. It was to be my husband's car, but after a few weeks, we kept looking at the rising gas prices and the Expedition sitting in the garage because it was taking over $50 to fill it every week, so we traded it in for another Mustang. Most girls cant tell you the difference in cars, but because of how indepth the sales person was in his explanation, I can tell you what a pony pack has in it, how many horse power a V6 has in it, a GT V8 has, what the model number is, what a shelby is, what a Roush is. Most sales people don't tell you much about the vehicles, and especially women, they don't think they really care. He gave me information, and the next purchase, I was asking the same information back to him. He smiled, knowing what he told me sunk in. The salesman is Mark Connor, he is absolutely wonderful, and Barry from England works on the Financing. I have a great V6 Mustang in Florida Gator Blue, and my husband has a GT V8 in Buccaneer Red. (get the area colors?) We loved the service and love the cars. Mark and Barry made it wonderful to do business there. Next time I do business, I will definately get another Ford from them. more

Would not recommend... 8/11/2005

My husband and I weren't even out of our car and there was a salesman walking our way. After telling him what we were looking for and the price, he basiclly laughed in our face. That gave us a bad vibe about the place and we left. Only about 2 minutes of being there and they lost us as a customer. In the end we did find exactly what we were looking for the price we wanted at a different car lot. more
