Boston Quality Movers

I want to warn everyone against Boston Quality Movers. The driver who moved my belongings arrived at my new apartment without movers; he offered no explanation as to why he had no movers. Because I lived on a hill he demanded an extra $350 from me to hire day laborers off the street to move my things. I kept trying to call BQ movers to speak to the manager, but he wouldn't take my calls. The driver was rude and threatening. My boyfriend and I ended up moving up most of our things ourselves, but we had to pay the balance of $1500 to the driver just to gain access to the truck. He said if we didnt pay the balance in cash, he would drive off with my stuff and hold it hostage. I had no problem paying my balance, but I didnt see why I was paying so much to move my own things up a hill and up a flight of stairs myself!! I could never get through to anyone at BQ movers, and no one ever returned my calls. Essentially, I paid BQ movers so I could move my things into my own apartment. It was the worst experience. DO NOT USE BOSTON QUALITY MOVERS!!!!! I have a feeling that the other ""positive"" reviews on this website are written by employees of BQ movers themselves. more

I just helped my grandmother move out of her condo and it was getting really hard to move everything via my car. She had accumulated so much stuff! These guys were professional and quick. They came on time and they packed everything in the truck the way that we wanted it organized. I was more than pleased! PROS: very professional CONS: none more

I could not ask for better movers. I brought a lot of furniture to the dorms and it kept building up and up.\r It was better to call these folks up rather than renting a moving truck. They took extreme caution with handling everything and was quick at work. Not much fuzz with the pricing. Very good quality stuff that you expect from honest workers. I wasn't sure if they would come all the way out to my dorm but it sounded like they would be nice and make this one time exception for me. I tipped them well for their hard work and would recommend these folks to anyone! more

I hired Boston "Quality" Movers for my move from Boston to NY. They arrived at NY 6 hours later than what was scheduled, my husband and I had to do half of teh work, they borke a bookshlef and when complained one of teh moving guys offered us a discount of $300. However we got billed for the full price (no discount) and when we complained again teh company told us that the movers do not have the competence to offer discount and that they were never going to give us that money. MISERABLE EXPERIENCE more

just wanted to say a little bit about Boston quality movers. they did a great job I have referred 2 customers and received 25 dollars each for the referral program that they have. and on the second move I booked with them I received 5 % off my bill. great job would recommend this company to anyone. more

We had no problem scheduling the service and getting a quick moving quote and estimate. During the process we were assured we would get 10 free boxes and a 5% discount on the whole move. We were also told we would pay only half-an-hour of travel time. After the move was completed, we were charged $500 for boxes (and were told the packing crew had not used the 10 free boxes because they were "too small") and 2 HOURS for travel time ($200 as opposed to the $45 we had verbally agreed on). On top of this, the moving crew broke a window at our own place. The sales people were completely unhelpful in resolving any of the first two matters and we are still trying to solve the third. WE PAYED THREE TIMES THE INITIAL QUOTE. more

They don't have a spare truck for the end of the month I ask? You wouldn't believe the nonsensical responses they doled out. Pros: inexpensive Cons: you get what u pay 4 more

I was surprised to find a company whose estimate finally came close to their services. The workers were quick and respectful which was also great to see.
