Best

how thankful I am to be able to train with Sifu Koh and the Bo Law Kung Fu instructors. They have helped and inspired me to to live my life with passion, presence, and confidence...

Worst

ost instructors are very good. However, the classes can be incredibly crowded (especially after 6:00)-to the point you cant fully practice the moves without hitting someone next ...

Too much unexplained formality coupled with arrogance 3/8/2007

Ok. Number 1: Dont ask an occasional intelligent question--ever. You just follow the more senior student. The fact that everyone moves differently and thinks they are the expert in Kung Fu is irrelevant. These folks have been watching too much Kill Bill and not minding the values of Kung Fu Number 2: Some of the instructors are outright unkind and nasty--watch out for the young man with long brown hair, behind a calm face is a very haughty and spiteful person Number 3: Sifu Koh does not feel the need to talk to or address paying students respectful concerns. He doesn't take phone calls or respond to emails. This is not Feudal China but NYC in the 21st century. While I'm a big believer in respect, mindless following is what is required to be in good favor at this 'school' more

Imporve yourself with sessions at Bo Law Kung Fu. 8/19/2005

If I ever find the time again to enroll in martial arts classes this place would be my number 1 choice. I’ve been taking martial arts for 15 years and this has got to be the best place to learn. The facilities are modern and clean. They have a great instructor who is very patient in teaching you not only the physical aspect of martial arts but the spiritual side as well. You will learn philosophy and culture. You will learn how to focus. You will learn that fighting is not only physical but mental. You will gain much more than what you expect from just a martial arts class. I have learned profound lessons of life through martial arts and I think everyone should at least give it a shot. You won’t regret it. You’ll come out a new person. more

Energetic, Authentic Chinese Kung Fu 8/18/2005

Not the typical commercial karate class, Master Koh teaches genuine Chinese kung-fu. Located on the outskirts of Chinatown, Koh is very open minded on teaching anybody willing to learn the ancient art. Classes are flexible around your schedule but be prepared to test your body to the limits! Patience, discipline and determination are the keys to success. Don’t expect to fight like Bruce Lee overnight but concentrate on the exercise and fitness aspects to fully enjoy this experience. more
