I went in here looking for a jacket, something for winter, and found a nice Neil Barrett one for only $320 and it retailed usually for $795.00! I like that on the receipt it shows...

Betty Blue is bright blue 7/9/2006

Betty Blue is great. Ignore the hard sell--say you just like checking out the goods alone, they'll leave you alone. Betty is nice, she will comply. Lately they are starting to bring in more interesting items, at first there were more conservative things. Visit Billy Howard gallery and Rubicon (? I think that's the name)-- the elderly couple making hand-made shoes nearby! Too bad the Korean dive nearby (sign with #1 Teriyaki ) closed... more

discounts on designers 1/8/2006

This store, located by Pioneer Square, sells last seasons designs for up to 70 percent off. Prada, Margiela, Yohji Yamamoto, these are just a few of the designers available at Betty Blue. Both mens and womens clothes are available for purchase as well as a selection of womens handbags and shoes. They often have sales on top of the already steep discounts. Customer service can be overly intrusive though. more

Stop by for the sales 12/17/2005

This store sells high end clothing, shoes, and accessories for fifty to seventy percent off. For example, a Yohji Yamamoto cape retailing for over 3000 was available here for under 1500. Of course this is still very expensive but if you are looking for something very special then this is a good place to look. Also, they do have some designer jeans here for less than 100 dollars. Both men and womens clothing is available here. Customer service is good overall, but these people are very fond of the hard sell and make it difficult for you to just browse. more

High End Goods for a Song 8/20/2005

Betty Blue is one of those places you don't expect to find in Seattle. The owner (Betty) scours major cities and purchases past-season staples that are classic or still hip enough to wear and passes it on at way below retail prices. Brands you can expect to find include Chloe, Ungaro, etc. These are the high-end lines from the designers, not the lower ready to wear lines. Prices may not seem "cheap", but when a Chloe blouse retails for $1200 and is marked down to $298, it's significant. more
