The drop off hours are good. 4/11/2011

We were easily able to reserve, for Major, a spot. The drop off hours are good. Major seems in good spirits when we pick him up. more

Will keep coming back! 4/5/2011

Fast and I love that you stay open until 7 pm for pick up. Paran always looks great and his nails are perfectly trimmed. Will keep coming back! more

Full blown obsession with the staff! 4/1/2011

Full blown obsession with the staff! Presley has never gotten along with anyone but me, and he loves everyone here! I will never take him anywhere else! more

Terrible Kennel & Owner 12/24/2010

I was a customer of Bed & Biscuit for over 6 years. When the new owner came on board, it became a horrible place to do business. The owner is horrid, the workers are rude know it all, the kennels are loud with dogs barking. I have stopped using this kennel due to questionable kennel terms that the new owner has initiated. Be warned - READ THE ENTIRE document! more

Our Dogs LOVE this Place (and we do too!!) 4/7/2010

We've been taking our dogs here for over 6 years and LOVE IT!! This is our dogs' ""home away from home"" and I couldn't be happier with the treatment that our pups get. Heck, our dogs don't even look back at me when I drop them off, but go trotting away with the staff to go play! We were SO happy when Gene and his partner bought the place (though the previous owner was also absolutely fantastic) because he's been such a wonderful person to work with. He remembers our pups (even after we moved away for a year and a half!!) and helps make every one of our boarding experiences as pleasant and relaxing as can be. I love this kennel and I know anyone who boards their pets here will be VERY happy. Pros: Great Staff, Affordable, Awesome Weekend Hours Cons: Parking can get tight for drop off/pick up for holidays more

Please check this place before leaving your animal 10/21/2009

Please do a spot inspection before leaving your animal at this place. It use to be clean but the kennels and yard is filthy. They do not clean it daily. What has happened? Pros: Could not see anything positive Cons: It is filthy more

Just right for just a bath! 7/15/2008

\r I made an appointment for a golden retriever and a small spaniel, despite the poor reviews from previous years. Jeanette and Dustin were friendly and prompt. The price for ""just baths"" was just right too, but did not include any extras: nail trim, ear cleaning, or any clipping. When I called, ""just baths"" was all I really needed! We were in at 9 am on Tuesday, and I asked for quick service, since I was leaving town. Jeanette called at 10:45 to say my dogs would be ready in 30 minutes. They were! Good experience for me and the dogs too! more

Best Kennel I Have Ever Been To 4/21/2007

Bed and Biscuit Boarding Kennel is the best kennel I\r have ever taken my dogs to!!! I was a vet tech in San\r Antonio for 13 years, so I have a bit of knowledge of\r animal care services. When I took a tour I did not\r let the young man that was showing me around know\r this. I gave him a hard time like I was going to be a\r difficult customer to please but he did his best to\r make me feel confident that my dogs would be well\r cared for. He had been working there for over five\r years, you don't work some where for that long unless\r you enjoy your job, and you can tell he loves it. \r They have great yards where the let the dogs out off\r leash, which is awesome because in a lot of place the\r dogs are walked out on a leash one by one and don't\r get a chance to socialize with other dogs. At some\r other places the dogs don't even get to go outside at\r all. They even had dogs up by the front desk that\r were playing and horsing around like they were on a\r vacation of their own. Some of the kennel techs were\r even using their own dogs to help some nervous dogs \r feel better about their new surroundings. When I came\r back from my vacation my dogs looked great, they had\r great haircuts and smelled better then when I dropped\r them off. When they brought them out to me, my dogs\r tried to follow the young lady back into the front\r door (that alone speaks for the great care they\r received). I highly recommend them to anybody looking\r for a place to board their animals. Pros: great staff Cons: parking limited more

okay service a little weary 4/6/2007

After the 5 day stay, my dog was very timid and wasn't herself for about a week. She didn't eat well there and they didn't really report on how the stay was. i.e. if she played with other dogs or was calm/crazy/wild. I probably won't return. more

User review by jameson21 5/16/2006

We have been taking our dog for 2 years when we go on vacation (and he loved it), but the last time he came back, he was miserable. He came back completely submissive, and when we raised our hand to pet him, he would cower like we were about to hit him. I do believe he was hit, and not just as a warning... he was terrified that we would hit him. Also, they ""forgot"" to give him his medication (completely necessary for hip displasia/arthritis). After shopping around to other kennels, I now realize that you can get much better for your dog for about 4 dollars extra, which is worth it. At least he will get his medication. Pros: away from roads/hwys Cons: Not enough playtime, not given medication, inconvenient pickup more

Exceptional pet care 4/18/2006

I take my dog here for daycare twice a week and we board our dogs overnight here whenever we are out of town. The staff have always been very professional and our dogs love going to the Bed & Biscuit. Our dogs have been to many different kennels and occasionally daycares. This is by far our favorite and the dogs excitement when they get there backs it up. Pros: staff, friendly, location more

My dog loves B&B! 10/26/2005

I have been taking my dog to B&B for almost a year. He loves it there and so do I. I have to drag him to my car at night because he wants to stay. I was saddened to see the poor rating received earlier. When I had to leave my pup there for two weeks he also came home skinny. But that was because he missed me, not due to neglect. Also, dogs play and get scrapes sometimes. Nothing can prevent that from happening. I love the staff and the service. Mine is a day dog and goes often. I trust him there 100%, which means a lot since I love my pet very much! He has so much fun at B&B! I recommend this place to anyone who I meet that has a pet. Pros: Inexpensive, Great Staff, Happy Dogs more

We won't go back 8/25/2005

Our dog was there for 10 days and came home in terrible shape. Very thin with wounds on all four legs. The staff didn't even mention the wounds until my 5-year old who was hugging her noticed them. They said the dog sometimes laid on the hard surface of her kennel instead of the blankets and got the wounds that way. The reply to all of my questions was that ""She did just great!"" while at their facility. She did not eat well for several days after coming home, had a very upset stomach and took over a week to heal. We won't go back! EVER! more

owner rude/staff nice! 1/14/2003

Yes, the owner has always been rude...nearly every time I take my dogs. However, the staff has been great and my dogs LOVE it. They get to play with other dogs which is their FAVORITE! I don't really love the thought that I'm giving my money to the rude woman, but as long as she treats my dogs nice, I can live with it. Pros: happy dogs, nice staff, convenient location Cons: rude owner, no parking, closed sundays more

Rude Owner, Poor Service 11/19/2002

The past 2 times I attempted to board my dog at Bed & Biscuit the owner was on the phone. The first time, I had to wait OVER 30 MINUTES while she ordered dog food. The second time, after waiting 20 minutes my dog started crying and the owner told me to be quiet because she was on the phone!! If they treat humans this badly, how do they treat dogs? more
