Yes I have to admit I wore jean and T-shirt in a nice place like this but I just finished a long day out on the yard and just wanted to sit down with the wife to have dinner. Came in at around 8:50pm on Friday and greeted or Not greeted by a couple of ladies at front door. One pointed the others to have either one show us the place. Either way.. taking us there would be appreciated and professional.. not pointing and ignoring us. I just stood there kinda amused at the treatment. Either way, when we found our stool at the bar, we were greeted by a young man that's very attentive to us and friendly. The night went well with great food. When we left however, three ladies at the front greeting area never look at us once or even say goodnight. I look at them and non even wanted to look back and kept on chit chatting with each other. Am I even welcome here? Does my jean and T-shirt makes me look out of place? I make more money then 10 of them silly girls put together... but with this treatment kinda make me think about returning. Not felt welcoming at all. To own a business you must make people feel welcome!! The front door and the exit is your best chance in doing so. If you're the owner, please drill that into your staff... otherwise no matter how good the food is... it'll still leave a bitter taste in the end. Pros: Great food, great Bar guy that's attentive!! Cons: Door entrance service was horrible more

The worst service I have ever experienced 4/10/2010

The waiter tried everything, including asking the manager to speak with us. The manager was quite appologetic and cut our bill in half and gave us desserts for free. He really tried to make up for the worst service I have ever experienced. We waited over an hour to be served. We had a group 7 adults, 4 children and one infant. The view from this restaurant is spectacular. The menu is terrific and the wait staff gave their best effort. To bad they can't pull it together as this could be a terrific place to dine. Pros: Food was great Cons: They are under staffed in the kitchen. more

Time and time again my friends and I have had inordinately bad service. It seems to have nothing to do with the number of patrons in the bar as the service is horrific even if we are the only people there. My most recent experience was Friday, May 16th. Granted, it was the first beautiful day this season. We had fully expected it to be very crowded. My fiance and I arrived at 4pm and told the hostess there would be 3 of us. We were told there would be a 15-20 minute wait for a table outside, and were given a beeper. We waited at the bar. We waited 10 minutes before we were approached by the bartender. We ordered a drink and our beeper went off just as we got our first drink. When I went to the hostess stand to check in, I realized there had been a couple with a baby that had been waiting before we got there. I told the hostess that they should be getting the table before us. She assured me we would be next. Another 20 minutes went by. My friend arrived & also waited 10-15 minutes before she was approached by the bartender. At the same time, my fiance ordered an appetizer and another round for us, as well as the check. It took 20 minutes before we got our drinks or appetizer, but the bartender forgot our check. My fiance went to the hostess stand to check on our table and was told there were two other groups in front of us. Where they came from, I have no idea. After 10 minutes, I went to the hostess stand where I was told there were now four other groups ahead of us. I gave the beeper back and told them we no longer wanted the table outside. We finally left, hungry and extremely irritated at 5:30p. The only reason we continue to visit this place that it is one of the only places on the Eastside that has outside seating by the water. It is additionally frustrating to know that it will continue to be successful, solely based on the fact that they are only game in town. But, we have finally vowed to never return there, and will be sure to spread the word. Pros: the view Cons: everything else more

Horrible in General 4/12/2008

A great day to go celebrate a birthday on a sunny evening. I was expected to have a great meal but unfortunately it didn't turn out as I thought: First off, we didn't get water till 15 minutes after we were seated. Of course the waiter came and put everything in but after that we waited 55 minutes JUST for bread. 10 of us with 4 pieces of bread. How is that going to work? We ordered 2 orders of bread and we only got 1 order out. Then our salads came and they were horrible. You can tell its been sitting out for a while because it was soggy. Then our food came after another 20 minutes. All of us got our food expcet one of our table members. We waited another 10 minutes for his. On top of that, they NEVER refilled our water nor did they bring out one of ours. We got everything and the manager only took off one entree and one salad. IN conclusion: NOT RECOMMENDED! You are better off going to a Kid's Valley instead Pros: Great view Cons: Horrible service more

The food was above average. The service was both poor and slow. The portions were extremely small. I do not recommend this restaurant. more

Upscale casual dining experience 11/22/2006

We dined here to try something different and I was pleasantly surprised by the food as well as the ambience. There is two parts to the restaurant really - there's the upstairs Yarrow Bay Grill which is more of a formal/upscale dining and the 1st level Beach Cafe which is more casual. The view is great especially at sunset and the food has been awesome (especially the crab and salads). Drinks are good and service has always been friendly. The downside would be lag time in service when they get busy - personally I don't really worry about that when I'm dining unless I'm trying to catch a movie or something. Wait for a table can be a bit at peak times. I would recommend going here in the spring or summer (although in the summer, you will have to contend with the Kirkland waterfront strip traffic). Pros: Atmosphere, food, view Cons: Pricing, wait, location (traffic) more

i have had good and ok experiences at the beach. i wouldn't recommend going in large parties- the food wasn't as good and the portions were quite small. their happy hour is a great value- the house margaritas are good!- but some things on the menu may have changed ingredients because they aren't as good as they once were. i would stick to the meat dishes rather than seafood or pasta! Pros: great atmosphere, nice views, good drinks more

This is a great restaurant for your money. Beautiful views, excellent food! Seafood is super fresh and high quality and the prices are amazing for what you get. This is a true find, I think Rachel Ray should add this one to her $40.00 a day show! My husband and I love to go her for date night. Pros: Food, view Cons: need to walk a bit from parking, but will worth it and they do validate. more
