Terrible business 10/7/2011

I was referred to this company through a service request from Fidelity Home warranty. I checked the reviews on yelp and was concerned because of the poor reviews. When I spoke to them on the phone they seemed knowledgeable, not the friendliest of people but knowledgeable none the less, so I decided to give them a shot. I explained to them that my garage door opener was very old and it suddenly decided that it would not open more than 1.5 feet off the ground. They told me they would send a technician out the next day. Little did I know that my experience was going to be similar to what I had read in the reviews. Worst Service 12/16/2008

I wish I had the previous reviewer's experience, but I didn't. Had an intermittent problem with my garage door and my home warranty company had them call me. The first appointment was canceled because they had a transportation problem, but they didn't even bother calling up so I had to. We set up another date and their technician came in to fix the problem (I wasn't present). The following day, the same intermittent problem persisted. I called them again and described my problem, and despite the fact that the condescending tone of the person I spoke to somewhat irritated me, we had another appointment set (through my warranty company of course). By now, I've disconnected my garage door from the opener and used the lock/latch on the garage (the previous owner of our home used nails to put tension on the wires that connect the latches to the door handle instead of turning the handle... I suppose they lost the keys). Anyway, simply removing the nails engaged the locks/latches again. more

two weeks ago my garage door would not close, so, i called my home warranty to report the problem and , about an hour later, I received a call from adam, with bay area doors wanting to set an appointment. Althought i had a hearing problem, adam was so patient and attentive. He helped me adjust my safety sensors and get my door working properly over the phone... ultimately saving me $50, ""u don't get that everywhere"" i though to my self. more
