In my 20+ years as a cat owner, I've been to nearly a dozen Vets in 2 states. Bastet Cat Hospital is by leaps and bounds the best we've been to. I've been to Vets that have treated my cats poorly, explained things in terms I didn't understand and even some that prescribed wrong medications. At Bastet I know my cats, whom are my 'children', are in good hands.\r

My Bombay had a urinary blockage about a year ago, which Dr. Basilious took care of immediately and near perfectly. My cat was hours from death and Dr. Basilious saved him, explained everything to me very clearly, made sure I understood what was happening and gave me very clear and comprehensive information along with signs to look for in the future. This cat is also a rescue, which makes unfamiliar situations very terrifying, AKA he's not that friendly. The staff are able to handle him effectively in that his bad attitude does not get in the way of his treatment.\r

My other cat, whom is only 5, had a mast cell tumor on the soft tissue of his front paw. Any pet owner that has dealt with tumors/cancer knows how stressful this is to all involved. Dr. Basilious repeatedly took the utmost care of this cat. He was extremely thorough in his handling, diagnosing and follow-up; he conferred with another specialist to ensure the best outcome for my cat. Dr. Basilious removed as much (if not all) of the tumor as allowed without amputating my cat's entire paw. The Oncologist I was referred to in Ventura agreed the work done was as best as possible and now we just wait and see (and hope, pray) the tumor does not come back. Each visit Dr. Basilious is sure to inquire about this cat and his progress; this is appreciated.\r

I cannot stress enough - if you care for your cats as children, as I (and many of us) do, please do not hesitate in going to Bastet Cat Hospital. \r

Bastet Cat Hospital is clean, quiet, has a convenient free parking lot and best of all is cat-only. I will continue to go to this Hospital even if we move farther away.
