The reason for such varying reviews is simple. This is a franchise that has seen better days. I've eaten at several Back Yard Burgers and the results have become predictable. In some parts of town, the food is terrific. In others, cold with bad service and a shadow of it's former self. Pros: good variety, method of cooking, availability Cons: variable quality, service, price more

Back Yard Burger's food in the past few years has went sharply down. A few years ago, they used fresh meat, but now going to the precooked patties, the food is awful. Pros: NONE, NONE, NONE Cons: Expensive, Fake tasting burgers, Cold Fries more

One word, GREAT. The name says it all. Taste like you spent hours in the ""Backyard."" Expensive for fast food but cheap for a sit-down resturant burger. All burgers are made to order so you may have to wait 5 minutes but well worth the wait. If you eat in they bring your food to the table on a silver plater. WHAT CLASS. Everything at BYB is good but i especially like the honey mustard chicken sandwich. Every time i go to memphis i make sure i stop by it is truly the best fast food i have ever had. more

BackYard Burgers is an awesome place. Their burgers are bigger than any other chain, they use only the best meat (100% Black Angus beef) and their salads are made fresh daily. Their cobblers are also name brand (Mrs. Smith's). more

BYB is incredible! My whole family loves the Bacon Cheddar Burger and the waffle fries are soooo good! Also, the new chicken strips are wonderfully different. You have the friendliest drive-thru staff anywhere! Others places are just plain rude. Pros: fast service, very friendly servers, tastiest burger ever more

I used to love Backyard Burger and reccomended them frequently. But now a days their burgers are precooked and dried out almost every time I go. And at various locations so I know it is company wide. Too bad such a great concept is heading in the wrong direction. Still make a good dog though. Pros: original burgers, always clean, friendly Cons: not juicy, pre cooked, downright dry more
