Feeling Better & Getting Stronger! 4/23/2010

A 'real' pilates training studio! I could go to fake pilates at my gym and it wouldn't cost me a thing. If I'm paying pilates prices - I want real pilates. That's what I get here. Gigi takes her studio and training seriously and that's why I feel like I get my money's worth here. I feel like the direction I get during sessions really comes from what's going on in my body. No way I could get that in a mat class at LA Fitness with 50 other people. This is the real deal. Personalized and tough. I feel a little stronger and a little better every time I go back. Three cheers for Body Arts Pilates! Pros: Personalized, Knowledgable, Professional Cons: Parking (it's the city - but c'mon) more

owner always bragging about how good she is. 5/11/2009

I think this is a very unique pilates studio. Also very private and knowledgeable. I just decided to stop training here because I got tired of the owner always bragging about how good she is. I found it pretty obvious when I signed up for a series of classes, that she's good at what she does, but when she felt that she continuously had to remind me of it, and how mediocre the rest of the pilates studios in the area are, it made me lose faith in her. If you don't mind hearing someone tell you all about their greatness, you should give her a chance. If you want to just get down to business and not be bothered with all the self-stroking, competition-bashing, you want to go someplace else. Good luck! Pros: gives good direction Cons: strokes herself a bit too much. makes you lose concentratio more

A great studio 10/21/2008

I have been a customer for six years and I cannot more highly endorse Gi and her crew. They are conscious of each and every body and its nuances. I use pilates to balance distance running. After numerous races, injuries (from running and falling!), Gi has straightened me out and kept me going. Years later, I am a faithful customer and continue to recommend the studio. more

Definitely THE BEST! 5/13/2008

Talk about energetic, knowlegable, friendly, pleasant and above all, very professional. Stephanie & Gigi worked with me and my needs pertaining to my physical fitness and the alignment of my back. I look and feel much better whereby 6 weeks ago, I couldn't sit for over 20 minutes without my neck and back being in severe pain. I highly recommend them to everyone!!! Pros: I FELT BETTER AFTER JUST 1 SESSION! Cons: Not having found them sooner... more
