I was referred to this office for myself and another family member. I liked the doctor, Sibilsky, but found the office staff to be cold and impersonal towards me. I overlooked it in the beginning. Without going into details on the exact problems I experienced, I was already in the process of finding another doctor when I realized that they had been billing my insurance company for services I DID NOT RECIEVE, and overcharging me for my co-pay. I would walk away from it at that point if it were not for the fact that they are hounding me with collection agency for a $60 missed appointment which we had been charged for even though I explained to them that we had a DEATH in our family. We were forced to make payments on this STUPID missed appointment fee, when they start sending more bills for late fees - then they informed me that Dr Sibilsky wasn't taking my insurance anymore. I WOULD HAVE TO BE CASH-PAY $150 I have filed a grievance with my insurance company, but before I did I offered to let them correct their error - and pay me the $90 worth of over-charges for co-pay. My co-pay is $20 they were charging $30 and billing for psychotherapy which I never recieved! I went there for medication evaluation and management, ALL SHE DID WAS WRITE A SCRIPT! I have a provider for therapy. They refused to make it right. No compassion whatever. I would NOT recommend AVENIR to someone I dislike! FELIX IS HORRIBLE to deal with, and I want to say that while other reviewers (obviously plants) have gushed about the ""gay-friendly atmosphere"" I did not receive good treatment by the staff of entirely gay men, perhaps because I am a married woman, and I have insurance (a point of contention - I was actually told by one of the staff ""well, I don't have insurance, so I pay FULL price - and I work at a doctors office."" So, what, i don't deserve decent treatment becaus I have a husband who by the way PAYS for our policy!!! and I have to say that while I have many friends who are gay, these ""staff members"" at AVENIR make gay people look bad - because I'm NOT gay that means I should be treated badly? Unless you like taking IT you-know-where this is NOT the place for you. more

I was going to this doc for nearly four years... i never loved him, but it is so hard to find someone good in this fied, i was just going to deal... he's a little flaky, and pays attn.- sometimes....however, this is the third time the doc has written me the wrong script... i can usually catch it before getting it filled, but this time i did not, and since i have to pay for everything out of pocket, there went 100 bucks... i called to see if they would consider reimbusing me for this inconvenience, and felix got extremely beligerant and told me it was not their problem... basically hanging up on me- that's it- not going back... disapointed... you would think a mental health office would be a little more compassionate and sensitive w. their clients, but like anything else, it is still a business.... more

I've been trying to resolve a billing dispute with them for months now. The ""owner"", also the receptionist, Felix, never returned phone calls and was very rude when I was able to get him on the phone. He has absolutely no concern other than getting as much money out of you as possible. (btw - the GA Secretary of state website shows Avenir as Noncompliant with being registered and doesn't show an annual registration with the state since 2004).
