The Austin Museum of Art is fairly small so they have different shows. I don't think they have any more permenant pieces and everytime I've been there the current show has taken up the entire mesuem. The two best shows I've seen was a collection of modern Cuban artiststhat I just happened to stumble upon and the Andy Warhol exhibit. Other times I have been there the shows weren't that good so I would suggest you check to see what's happening before going down there. more

Great art 7/23/2005

if you have an iPod then you can see some art! In collaboration with AustinCast, the museum will podcast their discussion between museum director Dana Friis-Hansen and artist Charles Mary Kubricht. Kubricht's luminous large paintings of the Grand Canyon now grace the museum galleries. Besides that, I love going here and looking at all the great paintings and art. more
