I don't know how this place stays in business. The help, particularly the fat, burly, pompous owner is the most rude person I've encountered. He is arrogant, talks down to his patrons and gets irritated when patrons even ask simple questions. He made a wine suggestion, which I took; I continued to look for other wines that I was familiar with (I intended to buy several bottles), and he became so irate with me for looking at other options (solely not taking his advice) that he told me he "did not really want my business"! He asked me to leave simply for looking at other selections. I think it was several minutes after closing, which I was not aware, so he just wanted to cram a wine on me, take my cash and lock the door; he simply could have told me they were closed, but instead he deliberately decided to lose a customer. Do not waste you time with this sad business owner, go to Trader Joes down the street to save money and get a smile with your service. more

They have a lot of locations throughout Chicagoland. When I'm in this particular neighborhood, I will stop in to pick something up. Good selection of wines, beers and liquors as well as pops,juice, and other soft drinks. There also sell some snacks items here as well. The prices are pretty good and they are constantly restocking so you aren't going to get some stuff that's gathering dust from sitting around so long on the shelves (like I've seen at other stores)! more

Armanetti’s is a locally owned business that offers its customers very important principles. First, the customer service is outstanding. While preparing for a dinner party, Mr. Armanetti took time to discuss with me the meal I was planning and the wine that would suit my meal best. His knowledge of wines of all varietals is extremely impressive. It was wonderful that time was taken to help me make the best selection possible for me and my guests. Second, the prices of the wines at Armanetti’s are lower than prices I’ve seen at other wine stores and grocery stores. On Saturday’s Armanetti’s provides the opportunity for customers to sample wines and this is a remarkable way for patrons to learn of new wines they perhaps may not notice under normal circumstances. Every time I shop at Armanetti’s I find myself going home with something new and interesting to try.
