A positive experience overall 8/7/2014

Turbo Tim has done a lot of auto repairs for me, and whether it be a major or minor issue, they always do a great job. The prices are very fair and the whole staff is helpful and responsive. It's a positive experience overall, it's hard to focus my praise on just one thing. more

Probably the finest auto shop in the area! 8/1/2014

I work at a pizza delivery place, and I tell all my drivers to go to Turbo Tim's! He keeps us on the road. I have anxiety around car issues and Turbo Tim's is the only place where I don't feel any of that. They treat you like a person, and it's really nice. I've never been upsold on anything. They don't charge me for anything I don't need. They're quick, and the quality of their workmanship is excellent. We've got some lousy roads here in Minneapolis, and my car gets beaten up. I've taken it to other places, and it's not worth it it. Turbo Tim's takes care of me pretty well. It's been an excellent experience. more

Best repair shop I've ever been to! 5/15/2014

I've used Turbo Tim's Anything Automotive four times over the last three years. They're very customer friendly. When I need something done, I can bring my car in and they immediately give me multiple options. They won't charge me if I want to go somewhere else. They're a solid company, and I really appreciate them! They're very reasonable as far as pricing. They're not going to try and overcharge you. They'll tell you what's wrong, and what needs to be fixed. And they will also give you recommendations for future work. They will tell you when you should start to look at things or get the car in. I've never had any problems with the work they've done. They're quick and friendly, and it's the best shop I've ever been to! more

The guys over there are great and really cool 5/14/2014

Turbo Tim's got my car driving well again. Previously, I took my car to another shop that told me it was junk, and I should sell it to them for $300. I knew it was worth $500. I slowly worked on getting things fixed. When it was drive-able I took it to Turbo Tim's to do a full tune-up. They did an alignment and got it driving well again. The only reason I didn't rate them a 5 is because they didn't top off the liquids and I got charged for it. They do an honest job for a fair price, and they might have gotten caught up in that to not put the finalized touches on. more

I absolutely recommend Turbo Tim's Anything Automotive. They have been my go-to auto shop for the past six years. Tim and his crew do really good, honest work at very reasonable prices. Everyone is super nice and never tries to upsell my husband and I. They've been able to do some major repairs for us at a moment's notice and I really appreciate how they truly care about their customers. They did a great job on my head gasket the last time that I used them. more

Very pleased 5/9/2014

Turbo Tim's Anything Automotive is amazing! I brought my car in, thinking that it was completely ruined, and they were able to give me a full diagnostic. They replaced my radiator and a few hoses and the costs were way less than I had anticipated. Before they did the work, they showed me exactly what was going on, what they would fix, how much it would cost, etc. So I dropped it off that evening and it was done by 2pm the next day. I was really happy with how quickly and efficiently they repaired my car. This was my first time using them and I would highly recommend them. more

Extremely happy! 5/7/2014

I brought my car in to a previous mechanic, and they were unwilling to fix it. They wanted to charge me $3,000 to fix what was wrong. Turbo Tim's got me in within 2 hours of calling, and he was able to fix it for $700. He was very quick to be there if I needed anything, and the staff was very awesome and friendly. more

My favorite auto shop 2/14/2014

Turbo Tim's is truly the best auto shop that I've ever visited. Tim is just an all around awesome, honest guy who definitely knows what great customer service is. I've been using them for five years and have decided that I'm never going anywhere else. He's done everything from repairing my transmission to fixing my bumper and has always done an excellent job. The shop is half an hour away from my house but I make the trip just because the service is so impressive. The prices are great and I would definitely recommend them for all of your vehicle's needs. more

Top notch service 2/12/2014

Turbo Tim's is the auto shop for me. They've gotten me out of so many tough situations and always give me the best deals. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Out of all of the car places that I've been to, they're the only place that has made me feel comfortable and not inferior for not knowing anything about cars as a woman. I really appreciate how respectful they are in that way. The folks at Turbo Tim's have come and got me when I locked myself out of my car a couple of times. They've put a side mirror right back on after I knocked it off one time. They even helped me get my car back when I got it towed once. They've done so many last minute emergency fixes for me even when they were incredibly busy. They also have a bumper sticker you can put on your car if you want 10% off. I've referred many people to them in the past two years that I've been using them and overall I've had a wonderful experience. more

Accommodating, friendly, and accessible 2/11/2014

Turbo Tim's Anything Automotive just did a water pump on our car, a Lexis, and their price was less expensive than the dealer. We were happy with the convenience of being able to stop in and talk to them. They take the time and take a quick look at things. Very accommodating, friendly, and accessible. more

They have made a customer out of me for life :) 1/21/2014

I initially went to Turbo Tim's at the suggestion of some friends. Having bad experiences with mechanics in the past, I wasn't sure what to expect. Instantly I was won over by how personable the entire staff is. My first car I had them work on, I comfortable sat in their waiting room watching Memento, sipping on sparkling water, and playing with their resident kitty Bobby. Unlike other experiences I've had, I've never felt as if they were trying to sell me something I don't need. I have brought 3 cars to Tim now, as my bumper sticker says, "This car sucks, my mechanic's on speed dial" ;) I love it, get your car fixed minus the $@!#% that other auto mechanics will try and push on you! more

EXCEEDED my expectations taking care of my dream machine! 8/5/2013

My experience at Turbo Tim's was beyond expectations in contrast with other repair/maintenance establishments, dealer and independent. I came in seeking work for something in the wheel bearing/ball joint area. The ride seemed to be acting like the last three cars with the same problem. Tim's diagnosis revealed that the alignment was to blame and suggested another source for the work if I wanted it right away, as his equipment was awaiting repair. While the car was on the lift he recommended that the rear brakes were the more immediate concern, though the fronts could wait. This is my "dream machine", a '95 Probe GT fresh from CA, no rust and 80,000mi. I needed a mechanic with talent and concern for the customer. I believe "Cali" and I have found the continuing care clinic to keep us together for the next 100,000! The rear brakes and caliper were replaced in a timely fashion while the background music could have been my Pandora. As the former guv of Cali's home state once said, "I'll be back"! more

I've used Turbo Tim's Anything Automotive to replace tires and to replace brakes. They are friendly and honest. They do what they say they're going to do and they do it on time. And the prices cant be beat! more

Consistantly consistant 7/6/2013

I've actually left this place feeling guilty for not having paid quite what the service was worth (and in a few instances, paid nothing.) This garage is in the NE Mpls arts district, so safe to say lots of us artists, musicians, and writers are driving old cars that we don't bring in until the sh__ hits the fan belt. Not your average garage. For one thing, the mechanics at Turbo Tim's make eye contact, don't talk down to me or ever ask to talk to my husband (this has happened in other shops). It's a busy place, but even in the few emergencies I've had and swung by without an appointment, they've found time to squeeze me in. Most recently one late afternoon before a big holiday when my AC went out and I needed to get on the road. I kind of hate to write a positive review because I consider Turbo Tim's a secret I wouldn't share with just anybody. more

Turbo Tim's Anything Auto is really affordable, nice, they get that fixing a car is expensive and they are honest about whether repairs can hold off for a while and how long it can hold off for. They offer great customer service and I have loved using them the past 2 years. more

Good pricing, friendly workers, need to work on timing. 5/30/2013

I've been here three times within the last month. I think the thing that bugs me about going here is that their timing is always off. He says something will take an hour and it takes 2-3 hours. The wait times don't match what I was told. The pricing is really good though, and everyone is really friendly. more

TurboTim's Anything Automotive has incredible customer service. I have been to other shops where they did not have the same kind of immediate response to questions. TurboTim's is always very good at explaining the repair and giving me options so that I can make a decision about what kind of repair my car needs. They also have a shop cat named Bobby. He is adorable and having to wait is never a chore. more
