Please Don't go here 5/9/2013

I think this place is absolutely heartless. My pet was literally dying (ended up passing later on in the night) and I had to basically beg for help, because everyone was on their lunch break. They acted hesitant to call the Doctor in, meanwhile my dog's temperature is on the rise way above normal range. I was a bit hysterical due to the fact that my dog's mouth was purple and foaming and his body was lifeless. It seemed as if it wasn't worth it to the doctor to come in right away, because my dog was already a goner. Once he got there, I don't feel like they did everything they could have to keep my dog alive. My dog seemed to be in a more stable condition and I left to pick up my spouse. When I returned my dog was in a kennel shivering and struggling to breath as the vet tech is in the same room cleaning up. I realize that there is still a business to run, but I cannot understand how you can be in the same room listening to a dog suffer and not offer some TLC to him. I couldn' more

Horrible, Very Disrespectful. Uncaring. 2/13/2013

At first they were all quite nice. I was happy with Dr. Corry. I had adopted a dog from the local shelter and took him straight to this vet for a check up. He was initially vomiting (vomited in the car on my way there). The dr was very nice about it, and having worked in the vet field I knew a stomach virus or something minor could be causing it, so I took the meds he gave me to give him and got some HWP and took my new family member home. Days past and he continued to vomit; not just once per day but upwards of 5 or so times per day. I take him back to the vet. They changed the meds, and even gave me injections to give him at home to control his nausea. They suggested bloodwork, which I gladly did (if it would give me an answer I was willing to do it). Still no change. I adjusted this dog's food, no treats, continued to give meds and nothing ever changed. I think in a 3 week span I was at the vet office maybe 7 times, spending probably $700 or more dollars on treatments. On my second more

The Groomer Badly Cut Dog's Ear! 10/7/2008

I have toy schnauzers and took them to the groomer here. After picking them up she stated that one of my dog's ears got clipped but it was very minor and they had "taken care of it."\r Less than a week later we had to take Jenna back into the vet in order to have a piece of her ear removed!!! It was literally hanging from the rest of her ear!\r We took it in and the vet said he fixed it- NOT TRUE! Now it continues to bleed. I will be going back tomorrow to see exactly what is going on. Outside of this I will not be taking my babies there for grooming or medical care again! more

Horrible Service and Quite Unprofessional 7/31/2008

I am not sure when those who left positive responses visited; however, the experience we had was far from! The doctor was extremely rude to my family and I. The worst part was our 13-year old lab - of which my 9 year old son had had since birth was being put down due to numerous complications. He was very "rough' with our dog and did not treat him with any compassion. It was terrible!\r \r (Prior to moving to Jacksonville, our true vet recommended him to be put down if his condition did not improve- I would have never trusted their judgement) more

NEVER GO THERE! 7/31/2008

When we went here, the receptionists were EXTREMELY RUDE and the doctor's were not very nice. They were too expensive and I will never return. We have tried almost all vets around and this one is the worst by far! more

Just Awful! 3/20/2008

I had a litter of puppies I took to them to have their tails docked and dew-claws removed. First they had me bring them in and said pick them up in an hour. I came back and they had not even been seen yet. I waited another hour and half and still not seen. These were 3 day old puppies who should not be away from their mom that long! I left in search of a nother vet who could squeeze them in, upon my return they had finally been seen. When I had dropped them off, I told the receptionist I had marked the tails where I wanted them docked and she said she would let him know. Needless to say he did not dock them properly- they were way too short! Of course, he had already left so I could not speak with him and he never returned my call. I also had taken a puppy in for shots and the wait was long and the doc was very rush rush and not gentle with the puppy. I will not return there again! more

Not Bad, But Not Great 10/25/2007

As a walk-in I had to wait over an hour before we received service. (Even when we called ahead of time to make sure we could be seen within the hour.)\r \r It seemed like once we were in the back room for our check-up, the workers just wanted to get us out after simply checking for heart worm when we came in for a full exam. When we talked about our dogs flea problem, it was almost brushed off. I had to press just to get a type of medicine recommended! For just the heart worm test, and exam it cost $65. \r \r I thought that an updated review might be helpful! It wasn't a horrible or upsetting experience, just less caring than I was expecting with little kindness with problems that seemed important to me. more

used to be a good vet 9/7/2006

I went here in 1992 when Dr Glass still owned and ran this business, It was class act and he was sooo caring and a wealth of knowledge. NOW, ther is an incredibly long waiting time to be seen, to check and pay, or to purchase meds and food. Runs blood tests on all animals the day I was in and talked to each owner on all the results. I love my animals and want the best for them, so I will not be back! Visits cost $100-200, no organization, small, cramped and smelly. Care, concern, and knowledge are lacking. It is all about the money. PROS: CONS: everything! more

Very friendly staff 8/2/2005

This is my local vet. I bring my pets here for all their care. The staff is very friendly and always remembers your name, or at least your pets name. You do not have to worry about making an appointment because they are walk in only. The price is average, if not below average for pet care. For the first check up and shots, which includes wormer, heartguard, shots, and frontline, cost $55.00. The costs start at 35.00 for an office visit and rise from there. The vets are very caring with the animals and they take the time to answer any questions you may have. I really enjoy this place. PROS: Very friendly and attentive staff CONS: None more
