There is so much that I admire about the Anderson School. There are several beautiful animal friends, dogs and other pets such as a rabbit at the school. They are very therapeutic for the children. And the union of the two, working and playing together in such harmony, is a beautiful thing to see. My son has learned many things from these pets, and I believe love is the primary thing I see. The Andersons also allowed him to bring his puppy to school and stay with him all day. This made my son feel very much at home. Thank you Andersons. I appreciate all of the special things you do. more

My son has expressed to me countless times how much he has enjoyed the freedom he experienced in learning and working at his own speed. He actually finished THREE years of math in just one year. He worked very hard, and I can honestly say I don't think he misused even one moment in learning last year. Thank you for giving him an experience he will NEVER forget. My son finished another great year at Anderson. And in viewing the school play on their website, I must admit that the kids were fantastic! This was the best Shakespeare production my son has been in. This performance did wonders for his self-esteem. I thoroughly enjoyed Othello! George Rodriguez proved once again in directing this challenging play, that he can elicit professional quality performances from children of any age. Congratulations! It truly was a superior production. more

I truly wish there was another way to say thank you, maybe a soul to soul connection, for our gratitude to be truly felt. I heard from many during my search for a school for our son, there will not be a perfect school for your son. I can't wait to go back and say yes! We found our school! I know of no other school that is so warm, loving, that you can feel the energy level when you walk in - the feeling is incredible. One of the greatest gifts the Anderson School gives is a level of trust, knowing your children feel safe, knowing your child is loved and educated with respect and dignity. Our son is filled daily with a sense of pride, confidence and excitement day after day to go to school and learn. My son asked several times, ""can you pick me up late or can we stay longer, do you mind sitting in the car waiting?"" My son and I love most that all children can be themselves and learn at their own level, no pressure and no worries of being judged by peers and staff. Our son loves the Anderson School for accepting that all children learn differently, no child is the same, and there's always someone to help with patience to practice with him until he understands the concept. My son loves Dr. A's jokes and that any question asked, you know there's always a great laugh and smile coming your way with his answer. Mrs. A, WOW! He admires Mrs. A's strength-n-wisdom to teach with a great patience-n-passion, and most important, a loving heart for all children. And dogs give warmth-n-comfort. We are very excited and blessed to have the opportunity to attend another year at the Anderson School! more

Before coming to the Anderson School my son had begun to give up and withdraw. Now he is learning to trust people again and is excited about what the school has to offer him. He is excited about getting out of bed in the morning to go to school. He respects Dr. Anderson and Mrs. Anderson tremendously. Thank you for your tremendous wisdom and compassion. My parents placed me in a positive academic environment that had a curriculum which enabled me to graduate early. Through the academic privileges of attending the Anderson School, I have better established my identity and I have grown as a person. The environment was positive, upbeat and salutary. By attending this smaller school, I received a more personalized education. The curriculum was designed around helping a student learn not through busy work, but through advancement according to each student's ability. Such a system allowed me to graduate early. I am glad to have attended such a school that helped me hone my academic abilities and offered me the academic freedom to advance according to my own initiative. more

I have to admit I cried all the way home, tears of happiness that our son is happy at last. Thank you for accepting him in your wonderful school. We are simply overjoyed. I only spent a brief time at the Anderson School. However, it was a life changing experience. Attending the Anderson School not only provided me with a high level of education, but also with the skills of how to cope with and make it through life successfully. I wish I could have spent more time here to gain more of the knowledge that it taught throughout the years. I want everyone to know what a wonderful place we have found at the Anderson School. The small and very personable campus is perfect for our children who are, quite simply happy. Thank you for giving us back the children we knew long ago. They are now free of all prescribed behavior influencing drugs and are truly happy, as are we. We have rediscovered their beautiful personalities. I know it must be difficult to provide such a personalized program of study and to work with each child in such a warm way. All the research shows that gifted people need support behind them. The higher the level of giftedness the more support they are going to need. That's why the Anderson School is so important. It's a ready made support for people that do not view the world through everybody else's eyes. And they are there daily, to support each other. I believe that God directed our son to this school, so that he could be given the things that he knew he needed. The Anderson's took him under their wings and there is no way we could ever repay them for what they did. It is beyond our comprehension. You have got to have the stars in your crown for what you have done. Just know that we love you and appreciate you very much. more

When my daughter came to the Anderson School, she was entering fourth grade and was reading on a first grade level. The previous year, she had cried real tears every night saying nobody liked her. She really enjoyed school for the first time at the Anderson School. She was able to relax and stop comparing herself to everyone else. She loved all the animals they have around and the relaxed atmosphere. When she went back to public school for fifth grade, she tested out her reading on a fifth grade level. She read the whole Harry Potter series on her own! This is amazing because before she hated to read and I read everything to her. Today she is a sophomore at the University of Texas in Odessa. She makes friends easily and is the most outgoing of all my children. She is still dyslexic and dysgraphic but she but she is confident that she is smart and doesn't let anything stop her. She had a 3.0 + GPA her freshmen year and received the sophomore extension of the freshman scholarship. She is majoring in communications, working on campus and having a great time. I think sending her to the Anderson School was the best thing I did for her and I often tell others who have similar problems with their kids about you. I hope you continue your school for a long, long time. more

Dr. Anderson and LeVonna have been pioneering educators in meeting the special needs of highly able children. They are the only resource in this area that provides for our gifted children. The offer such a unique and highly personalized method of instruction and it truly meets the needs of my child. As educators they have always performed far beyond my expectations and have my deepest admiration and gratitude. I truly admire them as friends and, most importantly, as loving and totally dedicated teachers. They are passionate about life and share their love with everyone around them. And they meet the many challenges this implies and with courage, patience and dignity. Their love for my son is unconditional and is the hallmark of the admiration I, and so many others, harbor in our hearts for both of them. I admire them and am truly grateful for everything they do for my precious son and all the other children fortunate enough to be placed in their tender, loving care. more

I will never find the words to express to you how much I have seen my son learn and mature since coming to the Anderson School. I see him open up and share his thoughts, hopes and dreams. He is learning to trust people again. He is excited about getting ready for school and I cannot tell you how much it means to him. They treat the boys with respect and lead them in learning for themselves how to be accountable, responsible for their actions and for their solutions. I cannot tell you how happy I am to see my son at the end of each day and see him excited about going to school. He is learning about other kids and excited about making friends. I see him taking responsibility to get ready for school and try to remember the things he needs without reminders. The Anderson School fills a niche nothing else could in my son’s life and we are very grateful. He has very proud grandparents and step-grandparents who want to talk to him every day to find out what new things he did.
