Giving it one star is too much. Over priced- you can attend ballet conservatories for less.Tap program used to be impressive but is now steadily declining in numbers. All good dancers and instructors have left. Secretary of 20 years and lifelong students did not stay due to payment discrepancies and special privileges attributed to certain families who do not pay for their classes, make up the majority of the attendance in each class offered, and two family members collect checks from the owner weekly. The first ballet teacher to DO anything with the kids in years has left. Illegal activity is rampant among the staff- from drugs to not claiming cash income. Future staff & customers- save yourself. Bring your children down the road. Owner of the studio has no real dance background and an unqualified 16 year old is instructing while her family owes thousands in tuition. Nobody teaching even has a college degree. If you have complaints, expect to be physically and verbally assaulted by their tap teacher. more

This school does seem to care about technique and hires instructors who are knowledgeable or who have had their own dance careers. The kids who go on to upper levels have done well in college dance auditions and summer programs. The teachers we have had experience with have been positive and gotten a lot out of the kids. Costumes can be expensive, but that seems to be a fact of life for most of the studios with which we've been associated with. I'd say they are strong in ballet, jazz and tap. We've had no problems with administrative staff personally, though I have friends who have been less satisfied. more

American Stardom is known for its tap but nothing else. If you want to take lessons for ballet or hip hop it is not good to go there unless you are dong it for fun. It is okay for little ones to start dance there until they know that they will be doing it for more years. Even though the classes are cheap compared to some schools, you could just buy movies and learn more that way and you would be saving even more money. more

I guess this place is okay if you are just looking for fun. They teach things such as hip hop and ballet. The ballet isn't that well and just to mainly learn the basics. The hip hop moves you could easily learn from a video or dvd. It's about $60 a month I think which is not worth the time or money. more
