A fun, interesting store 5/3/2006

I''ve been going here since I moved into the neighborhood. This is a bizarre store, but bizarre in a cool way. They sell all sorts of wierd gift items and toys, science and hobby kits, and a huge selection of closeout items you will never see anywhere else, such as electrical parts and all sorts of batteries that you can't buy anywhere else, I don't even think Radio Shack. They have a good selection of telescopes and they even sell robot parts. Writing about it makes me want to see the film Young Frankenstein again. more

Loads of Fun! 12/30/2005

This store is great! Along with the requisite science project goodies are a mass of strange, unique and just plain bizarre items. A trip to this store is like a small adventure! Last time I was there, I picked up a rubber dinosaur, military buttons and police tape! You never know what you will find; you could spend hours browsing the wide selection of the weird and the wacky. more

Wild and Crazy Stuff 8/21/2005

This store is jam-packed with a little of everything-and lots of weird things. For example: Windchimes with skeletons, a magic magnetic radio, real British policeman's riot helmet , and robot parts. It has tons of electronics, chemistry equipment, and parts, parts, parts. All the essentials for an in-home laboratory. They are also on the web, so check them out! more

American Science and Surplus 8/19/2005

If you have ever had a problem finding fun, cool gifts for kids that are a little unusual or offbeat, then American Science and Surplus is a good place to check out. This store (which is on Milwaukee, Foster, and Northwest Highway) has toys, dinosaurs, puzzles, arts and crafts items. And it also has stuff you never knew existed, including items that glow in the dark, and creatures or substances that are slimy and gooey. It might also be a good place to check out if you are working on some type of science project for school. Some of the items found here could be used as part of your Halloween decor or Halloween party favors as well. American Science is in a strip mall, so there is plenty of parking. more
