American Fiberglass Pools

I'm in the pool and spa industry and have been for over 10 years, but I take my hat off to Wayne and his bunch at American Pools. I'm glad we're over 100 miles apart so I don't have to worry about American competing with us. We have our ""small town folk"" and they have Houston, so I felt obligated to the good people of Houston to tell them American Pools is simply the best. Wayne has probably forgotten more about fiberglass pools than his competition will ever know, so if you want a pool, and want the job done right, call American Fiberglass Pools...and tell them ""Big Daddy"" from Longview, Texas sent you! more

We are absolutely thrilled with the new pool from American Fiberglass Pools! Everyone involved was great. Wayne (the owner) was awesome in helping us plan what we wanted and setting everything in motion. His staff was always right on time to fill us in on what was happening, etc., and the folks that showed up each day were terrific. Thank you Wayne for making the back yard of our new home something we'll be proud of for years to come! more

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am very impressed with the speed and quality in which your company got our pool installed. American Pools sold my wife and I a quality product, which is hard to find these day's! You told us you were a 40 year old company and still did business the way it was done 40 years ago, and delivered on your promise! The installation went wonderful and we couldn't be happier. Of course I was a little nervous making a purchase on a product in this price range but now am SO glad we made the decision to do business with you. I have to say I was surprised that everything went so smooth. Things just don't seem to go smooth for us very often, but your guys were awesome! American Fiberglass Pools is a great company and I would like to recommend you guys to everyone and wish you much successes in the future! more

We had American Pools install a fiberglass pool this past Spring. They claim to have been in business for 40 years, and they still do things the way they were done 40 years ago! Even their facility on Tanner Road in Houston is an absolute dump, with no improvements over those 40 years. Go on-line and look at the manufacturing facilities for companies like Leisure Pools or Lonestar Fiberglass Pools, both in New Braunfels. They are first class facilities. Then compare them to American Pools' facility. That should be your first clue. The owner (Wayne Stringer) is slick! He'll make you feel like he's your long lost friend while he's picking your pockets. His contract has absolutely NO detail about what you are actually buying. He'll promise whatever you want, but install whatever HE wants... whatever will turn him the biggest profit. That contract you sign will leave you no recourse. He will intentionally underestimate the area of your concrete decking, then charge a ridiculous amount per sq-foot for providing what you actually expected. Bottom line... STAY AWAY FROM AMERICAN POOLS!! Don't end up with an embarrassing mess like we did. more
