Always Rentals

After searching on my own for 1 month for an affordable rental in Phoenixville, I gave in and signed up with Always rentals b/c I saw their name all over Craig's List. I received the confirmation letter with the email to contact if I need support. I contacted them b/c I never received my log in information after 4 days. They sent a brief unprofessional couple words and gave me 4 digits to use as both username and email. At this point I knew I was in trouble...but i tried it anyway... It provided me with the previous weeks listings which only included for my area the apartment complexes that I could find for free with a simple Google search. I wrote again and asked for an ID to access updated information and never heard back. I gave up after this knowing I had been scammed and found a realtor to help me. I found a place and signed a lease. I contacted Always for a refund less than 3 weeks after initially signing up. The are refusing my refund b/c of fine print. They are not canceling my acct either. They keep sending unprofessional emails with no signature or periods telling me I can freeze my acct. Why do I need to freeze my ""acct' that never worked and I never had access to in the first place? How do I freeze an acct I do not have access to? please don't waste your money and if you do contact the better business bureau and your bank to block them from taking additional money. I am disgusted by the dishonesty of this company! more

My roomates and I found a place in Nova through these guys. We are students and it was not easy on our own. Although they do have some listings that could use updating, the place we found has just been listed as new within the week we registered. We would use them again- more

I signed up with them online thinking I could get a really good place, attracted to an ad posted constantly on craigslist for an ad in Warrington. When I received my list, nothing on there was like it, and when I called many of the properties, I had been told the ones in question were rented for a year or greater. more

I signed up with them because they had a zillion ads on craigs list and it appeared on their web site that they had a lot of properties in my area. (Downingtown area) What a joke. They had hardly anything and the ones they did have were long gone. I ried to complain and get my back back (They promise a refund) but it seems that after they took my money they had no interest in getting back to me! Save your money! more

This company is a total scam. They don't even exist at their stated address: Suite 212 is vacant, and their suite is listed as L-11 on their website, but there isn't even such a suite at 81 Lancaster Av, which is a shopping center). All they do is spam sites like craigslist with fake properties that are not available once you sign up. The properties you'll see are ones that are advertised on all sorts of other legitimate sites, like hotpads etc. which are free. So basically you are paying for something that's free elsewhere, AND encouraging that company to keep spamming because it pays off due to people like you. The positive review is obviously fake, and if you can't see it then you deserve to be scammed. Ditto the ""testimonials"" on their website. Avoid, avoid, avoid! Pros: These guys are pros... at scamming. Cons: Their company is one big con. more

The amazing listings that they lured you in with will not be there after you pay the fee for the listings. You are better off contacting a real estate agent or combing through the local classifieds. I feel like this place is border line illegal. Cons: The entire operation is a con more

I just relocated from Chicago in November and used this company to find a great two bedroom private place! Listings were plentiful and we found some great prices. Would highly recommend them and use the company in the future. They do not charge the property owners and therefore seem to list alot more than we were able to find elsewhere. Whoever wrote the last posting obviously was not using the service properly or they would have never written a negative review! Pros: Great Service more

I responded to ad in a local paper for an apartment listing thinking it was an actual apartment not a rental company. Instead I got this rental agency. I was told that for a fee $89 I could get local listings if I didn't find anything no problem I could get a refund. I didn't find an apartment and my situation did change. I was informed that I was ineligible for a refund because I didn't check every week for new listings. I had paid over the phone and thought in good faith I could get a refund. Most of the listings come from other newspapers so you really don't need the service, Always read the fine print....especially with Always Rentals...lesson learned don't trust the seemingly nice rental agent. Pros: did provide many listings Cons: difficult to read in the way its formatted, shady advertising, many can be found in newspapers and other local advertising publication more
