The behavior of these sales people is very telling. This place has NOTHING to do with God, the rude remarks, questioning a potential clients faith and slamming doors exposes the real goal of these grifters. This is con-man behavior. It exposes Mr. Merato which suggests he may have been a carny before moving to East Phoenix. I long for the day when Sam and his staff are personally invited as special guests of Sheriff Joe. Mr. Meranto likes to brag he's been at that location for 30 years, implying that if he were dishonest he'd be gone. Be careful Sam, one day when the County Attorney's office receives enough complaints about your crooked operation, they will begin an investigation into your questionable practices. Shame on these people for using God to prey on the desperate and naive. Not one human being is perfect but thank goodness they all aren't as despicable. This group demonstrates a loathing of their fellow man, not concern. I'd also like to add that in the State of Arizona, it's perfectly legal to record conversations in business transactions without the knowledge of the other party. Might I suggest to the next potential victim, take a recording device into Sam's establishment to get the details of their shady and unprofessional practices; it sure would help build the case for Montgomery's office. I first went to Sam Meranto about 11 years ago for depression and addiction. My depression was so bad that I could not look at people, stopped going to work and could not sleep. These tapes helped me sleep immediately and after a couple of weeks I was working regularly, the depression and suicidal feelings went away. I began to have more confidence, I started to become happier and my attitude towards others began to improve. This was the beginning for my self development and attitude adjustment. I was a negative person who was surrounded by negative people. I had been programmed by all these negative people to feel bad about myself, to take the blame for others unhappiness. If you do not take control of your own mind, unfortunately someone else could. That does not make a person weak. I have never known any of the people working for Sam or Sam himself, to ever force their religious beliefs or mistreat a client. In fact, after using the tapes for a couple of weeks, if I did not feel I was getting the result, I told them and they made adjustments to my program to help with my recovery. I will admit that Sam is a Reverend and his center is called the All Faith Self Help. If you are non-denominational or other, then tell them and they will respect your beliefs. I was tipped off by a close friend about the negative comments on this web site about Sam Meranto. I was appalled as read through most of this negative garbage. I have known Sam for over 25 years now. I can tell you he truly cares about people and has helped thousands. In fact during this down economy I have seen him help many people for free. Tell me something, how can a man that has been working out of the same location for over 34 years be accused of not doing his job. If you notice the reviews here, there is no in between, and the positive reviews sound like a sales pitch straight from Meranto, and his henchmen.\r \r So you are welcomed by a very nice girl, and led into a room to watch a video, that is testimonials from people. Let’s get the sales pitch going. Then you go into this dark room with oversized recliners and they put the headphones on, and start your tape. You would think after 30 years here, Sam would lose a little of that annoying New York Type voice. Well the tape goes on and on, and Sam is here to help you with the help of God. The tape gets lower and lower with all sorts of sounds, which I like to call white noise, so after 45 minutes you are almost asleep. Put me in a dark room, in a recliner with no tape and I would fall asleep. So it’s like taking a nap for 45 minutes.\r \r It’s over, and out to the pitchman for the hard sale. They review the questionnaires you filled out, and you find out you have ten times the amount of problems you thought you had. So Ok I’m screwed up, what’s the cost and how many times am I going to need to see Sam Meranto? Sam saved my life. I met Sam in April '06. I went in because I was having severe back pain and no other treatment was working. I sat down with Sam, and within the first five minutes of the visit, my back instantly started feeling better. It must have been God working through Sam; it was amazing! \r After I filled out the questionaire, I noticed I was feeling lighter. I needed help with recurrent depression. And I am not saying that they have not helped people,I am convinced they are helping people in the capacity that they understand what help is. My disappointment is in the fact that they lead you to believe you will be getting a free session, when its a free sales pitch. I gave it 30 minutes of the 45 she said it would take and whats weird is all the things you hear in the headphones as well as feel some kind of laser or electricity going through your ears...this bothered me more later on when the sensation in my ears wouldn't subside. One of the things you hear in the headphones is an echo to everything Sam is saying, which would be ok except it gets fainter and fainter, and changes to being an echo of something other than what he is saying.....you cant make out what it is, only that it is different....I left when I realized, it was a sales pitch and my ears were hurting,,,,,dont know what in the world went on, but when I went home, I took a nap and dreamed really weird dreams......the whole process lost my trust when it became a huge brain invasive sales pitch.,,,Sam, there is only one true God, and his son is Jesus Christ,...and he is the way the truth and the life,,,,,I believe you want to help people, but you are not including his Holy Spirit in your work..,.find him, find truth, he helps me and will continue to....and I thought maybe he wanted me to go to see you, but now I know you needed someone like me more than I needed you, because just because something seems right doesnt mean its from God, Pros: nice reception people Cons: you will see in the details more

After seeing this man on television for many years I decided to call because I am at a point in my life...well, I win't go into details. Was transferred to voicemail when I first called saying they were too busy. I have been unemployed for 4 months and was on a phone call (on hold) with a potential employer when another call came in. I did not recognize the number and thought it might also be about a job. It was, however, a woman who worked for Meranto. When I briefly explained I couldn't take her call at the moment (employment call) and could she call back later she said, in a condescending tone, ""well good luck with that"" and hung up. I never heard from her or the Meranto organization again. If they truly were in the business of helping people I would have been called back but hearing I was unemployed they weren't interested in talking to me since it was obvious from the initial phone call that I probably couldn't afford their ""program."" Since then I have read many others online who have exposed this man for what he really is...a Bible thumping snake oil salesman!
