All About Me Salon & Spa

I used to go to Jenna Crew at this salon. She has since left. I followed her to her new salon, however the last 4-5 haircuts and color from her have been EXTREMELY dissapointing. I called All About Me again, because I really like their staff, decor, atmosphere, etc. They gave me Amy as a stylist, and I couldn't be happier with my cut and color!! She took her time to ask what I wanted, I showed her a picture, and it looks exactly like it! The highlights look great as well! I make my living selling products to salons and spas in the mid-Atlantic region. So unlike many people who frequent such establishments, I have the luxury of spending a lot of time in not just one, but hundreds of them. Given my experience in this industry, I must say there are a few that stand out above the crowd. My first visit to All About Me nestled in downtown Towson was pure bliss. I always like to tell people that one of things I love about my job is that I get to spend hours upon hours in welcoming environments with a plethora of beautiful, friendly women. Well, my favorite one thus far in my travels is without a doubt this one. From the moment you walk in and are greeted by their very friendly staff to your personal tour through their extremely cool salon, you simply want to setup shop and stay awhile. They have a boutique that makes you feel like you just walked in off the streets of Soho or Chelsea. And the decor throughout is as warm and inviting as it is creative and chic. I?ve said more than once that I want to walk out with their enormous antique mirror in the nail section that seems to peer over you as if you were in a medieval castle. From inviting leather sofas to the large flat screen TV playing my personal favorite family movies, All About Me definitely caters to people of all ages. When explaining to friends and family about this particular salon and day spa and working with the people who make it tick every day, I like to steal a line from the popular move Wedding Crashers: ?Everyone?s so nice, it?s easy!? more

I decided to call and make an appointment at All About Me after reading the fantastic review in Baltimore Magazine. I walked in the front door and was greeted by a very friendly girl that checked me in for my Deep Cleansing Facial with Julia. The salon looked so beautiful!! The music was fun and up beat, the candles created a special mood and a great fragrance, i was sitting in a family room type setting it was clean and there was fresh fruit on the table. The energy was so great!! Julia's facial was sooo relaxing and she was very informative. It is clear that the employees are very happy working here. What a great place!! Pros: Parking Lot more

After reading all the reviews I had to try this place out for myself. I went to Jenna and I'm so glad I did. She is so cute & bubbly. She made me feel completely comfortable. I have some grey and have been doing my own color for some time but durring the cut she spoke up and said"" I dont know how to tell you this but your drab color looks terrible"". I couldnt help but laugh at her direct approach, I found it refreshing that she was so honest. She said she couldnt let me walk around even 1 more day looking the way I did so she somehow squeesed me into her schedual and gave me a golden brown color with blonde highlights. I had no idea I could look this good. I dont feel like the same person when I look in the mirror. My friends and family are so happy for me and have said I seem to walk a bit taller now that I feel so pretty. Cons: takes a few days to get an appointment more

Thinking I was some amazing hair stylist, I decided to try to give myself highlights and my own house, but just as I had feared, it looked terrible once I took the foil off. I went online to search some places near where I live that had stylists who could do highlights, and came to All About Me Salon and decided to go pay a visit to the salon that very day. Based on the other reviews here on the website, I thought Olga would be my best choice, so I asked for her. She did a splendid job in redoing my hideous attempt at giving myself highlights and made it look just as I had pictured it from the beginning. I was very satisfied with the result. She certainly did a much better job than I did. :) I was also happy with the prices, which were lower than I thought they were going to be. I recommend this place to everyone who wants to do something different, and much better, with their hair. more

I've been to a large number of salons all over the northeast and Canada as well as a bunch of places in the Baltimore area. All About Me is definitely one of the better ones. They fit me in the day after I called which was great. Sherri was my stylist and she did a great job with the cut and colour. I wanted to go back to my natural colour and she really did a great job. I was platimun this fall, then auburn, and I wanted to go back to a dark blonde. Sherri was really efficient and everything turned out just and she had described (and hoped). The salon itself is really nice and classy with a homey feel that made me comfortable. The only things I was a little uncomfortable with was as it was my first time there I needed a little guidance on where things were. When I first got there and needed to change, I was only given vague directions on where the room was. When I was told to wait for my color to set they told me to grab and magazine and sit. After I sat down to wait I was told I was on the wrong couch and to go sit on another one. A little more attentiveness would have been nice so I didn't feel uncomfortable. Not a huge deal but I've been to salons that have been a little better in that department. Also, near the end they were a little pushy about buying products. I was interested in buying some things but it could have been done a little more subtly. All in all, really happy with results and I would def. recommend this salon. Pros: Great quality and results. Ambiance. New magazines. Cons: Parking. Pushy on the products. Could be a little more attentive. more

I have been going to All About Me for about three years. I love everything about the salon. There is always a comfortable and welcoming feeling when you enter the salon. The boutique always stocked with great gift items. Everyone talks with you and makes you feel at home. I rarely have to wait for my services. Jenna is a fabulous hair stylist and is always punctual and professional. She makes an effort to get to know her customers and is my therapist! Michelle is the terrific nail technician, and gives the BEST manicures and pedicures in Baltimore. She also makes an effort to get to know her customers, and truly pampers them with her exceptional services. I know that I will always leave All About Me looking great and in a terrific mood from having such a good time! more

I'm a California girl all the way. When I learned my husband was getting transferred to Baltimore my first thought was WHO IS GOING TO DO MY HAIR??? UGH! Well, I was scared to death but a neighbor recom mended Jenna Crew at All About Me. She is fabulous! She was full of young and fresh ideas. I'm so excited I got past the fear and went for it. My hair looks amazing. She gave me beautiful natural highlights then an amazing conditioning treatment followed by a short sassy cut that looks exactly like the picture we decided on. The other great thing about her is that she is so easy to talk to. She's gorgeous, funny ,and totally down to earth. .You can tell she loves kids, travelling ,and fine dining. Sound's just like me. more

I desperately needed a pedi, and All About Me is across the street from my office. Plus, I could walk to Happy Hour afterwards! The staff was so accomodating and worked with me to find a time that best fit MY schedule. The pedicure room was CLEAN and relaxing and the technician was gentle but thorough. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable. I have not been happy with the treatments I have received at Salon by Debbie on the Avenue or About Faces. I will continue to go to All About Me for pedi's!! Pros: with only 2 pedicure stations, the room is comfortable! Cons: only 2 pedicure stations more

I first went to All About Me because it was convenient - right across the street from work. I went for a quick brow wax and never went back to my regular guy. Michele did a fabulous job and I always walk out looking great. Next I went in for a hair cut and again, walked out looking amazing! The store is always clean and everyone is so helpful and friendly. I was in need of new highlights for my daughter's wedding and really did not have one place that I constantly relied on to give me the hair I wanted. I asked one of my friends if they knew of any exceptional place that would allow me to get what I'm looking for. She said, ""Definitely All About Me in Towson."" I had driven by that place before but never actually thought it was a place worth actually going to. I walked in on Friday and asked for anyone that was open, and was given Olga. After just about an hour, I could not believe how amazing my hair looked. I was so happy with the result and must say that Olga was very professional and fun to talk to. You can count on me coming back to the salon next time. And I also got so many compliments about my hair at the wedding. :) Pros: Great staff more

I've been going to All About Me for a few years now. I personally like to see what all of the employees can do, so I don't tend to just stick to one person. When I first walked into All About Me, I noticed right off the bat how neat and super clean everything was. From the floors to all of their items for sale. That said a lot to me. Then I was given an appt with Cindy for a hilight. She was amazing! I've visited several times for several different reasons weather it be for a waxing, nail care or hair treatment All About Me always makes me walk out of there feeling like a new woman...and looking the part too. I have never had even close to a bad experience here. Everyone is so friendly and the place is so comfortable! I gave this place 5 stars because I've never found a place that I love so much, so thank you All About Me for turning some bad hair days into something beautiful! The only thing you may not be used to is the parking. You park on Chesapeake Avenue in the parking lot on the Right side (same side as all about me but just before teh salon doors) You take a ticket and All About Me validates it. Its to be expected though I mean you're in Towson and there isn't a lot of parking to begin with. more

I have Been going to Rob now for a year now,and have to say I am so happy that he is finally on the floor now at All About Me. When I first started going to Rob he was doing hair cuts out of his house. I'm happy to see him in the salon now,and what a beautiful place I would have never guessed it would be that nice! He always talked about how nice the salon is and man it was! I was there last week for a hair cut and style and when I left my hair felt and looked so good I got so many compliments,thank you Rob I will see you in a few weeks for hilights. I FELT A LITTLE UNSURE BECAUSE THEY TOLD ME THAT BRIAN COULD DO MY HAIR SINCE HE SPECIALIZES WITH ETHNIC HAIR AND I WAS UNSURE OF WHAT THAT MEANT. MY HAIR IS NATURALLY CURLY AND IT STRAIGHTENS OUT VERY EASILY ONCE HEAT IS APPLIED SO I KEPT STRESSING THIS POINT TO BRIAN AND HE WAS VERY CERTAIN THAT MY KIND OF HAIR NEEDS LEAVE IN CONDITIONER, AND OTHER CHEMICALS TO STRAIGHTEN IT, AND THE END RESULE WAS A STICKY AND ITCHY MESS AND IT WASN'T EVEN STRAIGHTENED BECAUSE HE ACT LIKE HE WAS SCARED TO COMB MY HAIR. USUALLY WHEN I DO MY OWN HAIR , IT IS BOUNCY, SHINY AND MY HAIR WAS VERY DULL AND STIFF. IF I DO NOT HAVE COARSE HAIR, DO NOT TREAT MY HAIR AS IF IT IS COARSE JUST BECAUSE MY SKIN IS BROWN!!!! I just recently discovered the beautiful and heart warming salon! Maryam made it even more welcoming with her great smile and positive and confident attitude. I had heard about her through one of my friends. I never thought that someone would be so good with my hair. I have been to so many different stylists and none of them have ever given me the hair that I desired. But Maryam knew exactly what I wanted before I even said anything. My hair looks beautiful, my haircut frames my face the exact way that I want it. My highlghts are so beautiful. \r \r My friend wasnt kidding when she said Maryam was the best. I look forward to each and every one of my future visits to the salon. Maryam is the only stylist where I can actually close my eyes and relax when I am getting a haitcut. I close my eyes and open them to find a hair miracle. I am so picky and I am so glad that I finally found a hairstylist that I can trust. I had a facial there earlier this month, and it was a great experience! The esthetician Alison made me feel comfortable and gave advice on how to keep my face clear from breakouts. Plus I had samples to try out too! Even though it was the first facial place I have ever tried, I'll definitely go back, because I like the service. more

I found the art of creating beauty in Jenna's hands. She has the knowledge, experience and talent of a successful artist. I would strongly recommend her to anybody. She does a beautiful haircut and the price is a steal. more

Probably the first time I've ever been this satisfied after a visit to a salon. I have been to MANY different places, getting my hair done and such, but after going to All About Me, I just had to say ""wow!"" One of the best salons I have ever been to in Maryland. Atmosphere was great, so was my hairstylist, Olga, who did a perfect job with the cut and specific highlights and style I was requesting. Price was very reasonable, and overall an awesome place. Coming back here in a month or two and asking for Olga again, you can count on that! more

I am reluctant to even write this review because referring more clients to TERRY means less appointment opening for me, BUT if you want to get the hottest highlights you've ever had, from someone incredibly kind and down to earth, see TERRY! This chic is amazing! I have long dark hair and every time I leave AAM, my hair looks perfectly and naturally sun-kissed! Those who are saying that All About Me needs to be updated are really saying that they prefer the pretentiousness and fakery that comes along with the stereotypical high-end salon ""atmosphere"". If you want rude stylist who look at their self in the mirror more than they look at your hair, go somewhere else! If you want a great color and cut from someone who can give you good advice about more than just your hair, go to All About Me! Towson's best kept secret! more

This is by far the most awsome place in Towson. I've read other reviews and went per the online recomendations to Jenna. Everything I read was true she is amazingly talented and super nice. The parking here is not so great. They have a parking lot but no one told me that over the phone when I called so I was late due to driving in circles for 15 minutes looking for a spot. Oh well, I know where to park when I go for my next appointment. Pros: Good value Cons: parking more
